Producing films not a child's play, says Danayya

He may be one of the successful producers, butfinds his job most challenging and adds that making movie is not only about financing a project.

The man behind hit Telugu films "Desamuduru", "Dubai Seenu" and "Julayi", recently released Telugu action-drama "Naayak", which has become a huge hit at the box-office.

"Many assume producing is merely about funding a project but there is much more to it. There are so many things a producer needs to keep in mind and it's highly challenging," Danayya told IANS.

"From budgeting to managing call sheet to travelling to locations, there are so many things that are handled by a producer. It's not a 'sit in a corner on a chair' kind of job," he added.

According to him, biggest challenge for a producer is to "wrap up a movie on or before scheduled time".

"Most projects are delayed due to several reasons and because of which a producer is monetarily affected. If a movie, which was originally supposed to be wrapped up in three months, takes six months for completion, then one can imagine the risk a producer is taking because the cost of living is increasing each day," he added.

After getting overwhelming response for V.V. Vinayak directed "Naayak", which features Ram Charan Teja, Kajal Aggarwal and Amala Paul, the film's cast and crew is likely to tour Andhra Pradesh soon.

"We would personally like to thank the audiences for making our film a success. We will be touring different centres in Andhra Pradesh," said Danayya.
