Veteran designer Pallavi Jaikishan says she has never believed in the concept of inviting Bollywood celebrities as showstoppers, and she will continue to maintain her mantra at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2012 too.

"I go according to the international system where designers do not have showstoppers. Only models who are professionals are part of my show. I have maintained this for the past 40 years," Jaikishan told IANS.

The designer, who completes four decades in the business fashion this year, is showcasing her collection at the gala Friday. This is the first time in her career that she is presenting her collection in LFW.

Her collection is divided into four themes - Sajala - Clouds with a golden lining, Mandara - The mythical tree, Elavia- A thing of beauty and grace, and Ayiana - The eternal bloom.

Asked about the key changes in the Indian fashion scene since her entry, she said: "There are too many people getting into fashion." But she believes it is "good".

"The more the merrier and people can find out the best out of these," she said.
