Gadhvi feels promos crucial to film's fate

Director Sanjay Gadhvi, whose film "Ajab Gazabb Love" is ready for release, believes promos play an important role in a film's success.

"I think the fact that a promo or a trailer has an impact, people are watching, it is half the battle won. I would like to think so," Gadhvi told reporters Monday at an event here.

"It's ('Ajab Gazabb Love') a very honest trailer and very accurate, giving the correct flavour of the film. You cannot just see the trailer, you have to listen to the trailer and then form your opinion," he added.

Made with Jackky Bhagnani and southern actress Nidhi Subbaiah, "Ajab Gazabb Love" hits theatres Oct 24.

Gadhvi's last film "Kidnap" was a flop, but he does not want people to tag "Ajab Gazabb Love" as his comeback movie.

"I don't think this way that Sanjay Gadhvi is back... it's not like I had gone somewhere or hid somewhere or my last film didn't work. I have a very realistic view about life, there are ups and downs, you can't be thinking too much into it," he said.

"I have made this film with as much conviction as I did 'Dhoom' or 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai' or 'Kidnap'," he added.

Gadhvi made his directorial debut with "Tere Liye" in 2000 followed by Yash Raj Films' "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai" (2002) and "Dhoom" (2004).
