'Kochadaiiyaan' to release on Rajinikanth's B'day ?

If all goes as planned, then Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil period-drama "Kochadaiyaan" will most likely release on his birthday Dec 12 worldwide, says a source close to the film's unit.

"The makers want it to be Rajini sir's birthday gift and in turn a treat for his fans. The idea is to release it on his birthday provided everything goes as smoothly as planned. We are currently busy with the post-production work," the source told IANS.

The first teaser of 'Kochadaiyaan", which is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, was released online Monday. It has received mixed response from fans so far.

While true 'Rajinians' loved it, some panned it for its poor visual effects.

Touted to be made on a budget of over Rs. 100 crore, "Kochadaiiyaan" is reportedly India's first motion capture 3D film which will be released even in foreign languages such as Italian, Spanish and even Japanese.

The film also features Deepika Padukone, R. Sarath Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Shobana and Aadi Pinisetty in important roles. It is jointly produced by Eros International and Mediaone Global Entertainment.

Double Oscar-winning composer A.R Rahman is composing the tunes for the film which has its audio release in October.
