Remake is the latest fad in Bollywood, but filmmaker Anil Sharma, who is set to release his next - "Singh Saab The Great" - says he doesn't believe in remakes.

The director of films like "Gadar - Ek Prem Katha", "The Hero: Love Story of a Spy" and "Apne" has lots of original topics to work upon.

"I don't believe in remakes. I have my own subjects, then why should I remake any southern film. I am here to make my own films and not to copy other's films," Sharma said in a group interview.

"I want to show my creativity. I have around 200 stories in my mind and all are fresh stories," he added the director who has so far made over a dozen movies.

"Singh Saab The Great" stars Sunny Deol in the lead role and Sharma has teamed up with the actor after six years for the action drama where the actor has been cast as a Sikh takes the evils in the society heads on.

Sharma says Sunny, 56, is the real macho man of Bollywood.

He said: "Audience are excited about it. Sunny is the real macho man of Bollywood. We have got positive response for the teaser. It's a very powerful role and we needed someone as powerful as Sunny. Heroes should be powerful, but ultimately everybody wants to be like Sunny."

Coming out Nov 22, "Singh Saab The Great" will introduce new face Urvashi Rautela.
