SRK to walk the ramp on Yash Chopra's birthday

Shah Rukh Khan will be joining the nine B-town actresses who will be walking the ramp on the late director's birthday to pay him a special tribute.

The actresses have all been a part of the film maker's iconic films. The list currently includes the likes of Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Katrina Kaif and now King Khan will be joining the divas.  He will be the only male actor walking the ramp at the fashion show organised in the memory of the creator of romance, Yash Chopra.

Last year on Yash Chopra's 80th birthday, SRK had interviewed him in front of a live audience comprising industry members and journalists at a grand event in the city. So when he was asked to walk the ramp he was more than happy to do so. An insider says, "Shah Rukh has agreed to do the honours. He will be the showstopper at the event. It was Pamelaji's (Chopra; Yash Chopra's wife) idea and he was more than happy to oblige."

Shah Rukh has starred in four films directed by Yash Chopra- Darr, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer-Zara and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The director passed away on 21st October last year.

Even though Pamela was unavailable for comment, Rafiq Gangjee, the official spokesperson of the filmmaker's production house, confirms the news, saying, "Pamelaji requested Shah Rukh to be part of this tribute to Yashji and he happily agreed to walk with all the divas as part of the grand finale."
