Anil Kapoor as Karan in Mahabharat

Jayanti Lal Gada's animated film; Mahabharat gets another big name attached. 

Anil Kapoor has lent his voice to the sacrificing character of Karan who will have the physical attributes of the ace actor.

Jayanti Lal Gada had offered Anil Kapoor to lend his voice either to the character of Karan or Arjun.

Anil Kapoor however chose to do the voice over for Karan as Mahabharat witnesses Karan as the loyal and sacrificing idol.

The movie is an attempt to allow children to be up to date with their holy scriptures and at the same time make the movie an enjoyable and pleasant experience.

Makers of the movie believe Anil was the most suitable fit for the iconic character of Karan.

Interestingly, not only did Anil manage to get a nod for giving Karna's voiceover in the film, he also recommended Jackie Shroff's name.

Gada says, "Anil and I were discussing the friendship that Duryodhana has with Karna in Mahabharat. In the midst of our conversation, Anil suggested that Jackie play his friend in the film (Duryodhana)."
