10th Dec. ko bajega "Band Baaja Baaraat"

YRF's December treat, Band Baaja Baaraat, is all set to hit the halls on 10th December this winter.

While the male lead is to be played by first timer Ranveer Singh, making a grand Yash Raj debut, it co stars Badmaash girl Anushka Sharma in her third YRF film (as per the contract signed with them preceding her debut in the 2008 blockbuster Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi).

Bittoo (Ranveer) and Shruti (Anushka) are fresh young graduates from Delhi University thrown into the clutches of the big bad world. A chance encounter ends up bringing them together as business associates who open up a Wedding Planners venture independently. Their tryst with the hullabaloo of typical Delhi weddings in the process of flourishing as entrepreneurs, turns out to be a journey that is funny, believable, and of course, in the long run, romantic!

The music for Band Baaha Baarat has been given by the famour duo, Salim Sulaiman. Aditya Chopra is said to have been exceedingly impressed with the work of newcommer Ranveer, while for Anushka who has delivered a primary superhit, and a consequent extremely average release at BO previously, this is a chance to bounce back!
