Dipping your hand into multiple ventures seems to be the new trend to stepping up your game in Bollywood and Lar

a Dutta is definitely not one to be left behind.

The successful woman who is already an award-winning actress, model, Goodwill Ambassador for UNFPA and fitness DVD host, is all set to add a new title to her existing list of numerous qualifications. The former Miss Universe is getting ready to launch her own range of designer shoes!

The buzz is that the collection will be a high-end limited edition with footwear ranging from ladies' casual to formal wear including stilettos, sandals, and sports shoes.

Lara is very excited about the line and why shouldn't she be? Her dream has always been to launch a fitness DVD and shoe collection; one of which has already been materialized and the other has now been set in motion.

Lara's soon to-be hubby and tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, is very supportive of her newest venture. According to sources, he is the one who encouraged Lara to launch her own collection and has lent her his business expertise on the matter. Mahesh is also involved with the marketing plan for the launch of the collection through his company, Globosport.

If all goes well, the shoe line is expected to be launched towards the end of this year.
