The month of November marks the birthdays of two great icons of Tinsel Town, two who can be closely related as being best of friends as well as co-partners. Yes, we are talking about none other than the adorable duo of Shah
Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, and BollyCurry has decided to take their fans on a small trip down memory lane with one of their superhit movies.

Shah Rukh and Juhi have worked together as co-stars for a total number of eight films, one of their most recognizable being DarrCo-starring Sunny Deol, the film is based on the obsessive love of Rahul (Shah Rukh) for Kiran (Juhi), and the lengths he goes to possess her whilst she already exists in relationship with Sunil (Deol). The romantic psychological thriller was directed by late Mr. Yash Chopra ji and will go down as one of his finest movies in Indian Cinema.

The role of Rahul was initially propositioned to Ajay Devgn, but due to lack of available dates required for shooting, he refused and Aamir Khan was later approached. However, he too did not accept owing to personal issues. Finally the role landed in Shah Rukh's lap, who happily agreed. Interestingly, Deol was offered to opt on the role of his choice, either Rahul or Sunil. He eventually decided to take the role of Sunil thinking that the character would help his career graph. However, the opposite took place and Shah Rukh's career took a boost playing the violently obsessive lover. The role of Kiran was also first offered to Raveena Tandon, however, she too turned down as she was busy with the shooting of Parampara.

Since Darr, Shah Rukh and Juhi have had a long association with each other. They have remained best of friends continuing to work on several projects and opening their own production company, Dreamz Unlimited. Since the takeover of the company by Red Chillies Entertainment - owned exclusively by Shah Rukh and his wife, Gauri - Shah Rukh and Juhi have remained business partners as co-owners of the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders in partnership with Red Chillies Entertainment. The team saw the win of its first title in 2012.

Here's BollyCurry wishing the two all the very best and we sincerely hope to see them onscreen very soon.
