In continuation to last days Different Faces of Love article (Different Faces of Love - Part 1), BollyCurry again brings to you some sweet and innocent love stories mixed in with some more serious and important love themes. As someone once said, "The only way love can last a lifetime is if it's unconditional. The truth is this: love is not determined by the one being loved but rather by the one choosing to love."
A movie about passionate love, Murder follows the life of Simran (Mallika Sherawat) who is married to Sudhir (Ashmit Patel), in a loveless marriage. Soon she meets her college love, Sunny (Emraan Hashmi), and starts a passionate affair, but ends the affair after seeing Sunny with another woman. Sunny, however, disappears soon after and Simran learns that Sudhir has a hand in it. She now stands by Sudhir, thus developing their love and faith. While the film did not receive any awards, it was considered a highly successive film at the box office. You may have seen many movies that are about youth love, but what about old age love? Baghban is one such movie. Raj (Amitabh Bachchan) and his wife, Pooja (Hema Malini), have four sons and one adopted son. When Raj retires from his job, Raj and Pooja hope to live with their sons. However, their sons and daughter-in-laws don't approve of this and thus separate the two in hope that they will leave. The long distance love and pain between Raj and Pooja is enough to make even a stone cry. Six months later when the two need to change their places, they meet their adopted son Alok (Salman Khan), who treats them with the respect they deserve. When Raj finally becomes a renown writer and earning a hefty income, he breaks ties with his sons and considers only his grandson and granddaughter to be his family along with Alok. The movie was both critically and commercially acclaimed.A hughly taboo topic, Salaam Namaste explores the idea of a live-in relationship. Nikhil "Nick" (Saif Ali Khan) and Ambar "Amby" (Preity Zinta) both live in Australia. They meet and immediately are attracted to each other and so agree to live together. The love that develops between them is soon torn apart when Amby becomes pregnant and Nick runs away from his responsibilities. How they overcome their fears and accept what has been thrown their way is the premises of the film. Salaam Namaste became one of the biggest box-office hits of 2005 in India, as well as India's biggest hit in the overseas market that year. The movie received several award nominations as well.Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna explores the theme of adultery love and extramarital affairs. Dev (Shah Rukh Khan) and Rhea (Preity Zinta) are a married couple who meet and befriend another married couple, Maya (Rani Mukherjee) and Rishi (Abhishek Bachchan). However, Dev and Maya soon feel an instant attraction to each other because of their respective loveless marriages. Their love develops into an extramarital affair and when their parents and spouses find out, they get divorced. After the pain of a living apart from each other, Dev and Maya soon developed a real relationship. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna became the highest grossing Indian film of all time overseas, it was even shown at the Tokyo International Film Festival. There have been many movies on terrorism but Fanaa has to be the first movie that mixed love with the culture. Zooni (Kajol Devgn), a blind Kashmiri girl is on a trip when she meets Rehan (Aamir Khan), a tour guide. The two fall in love and sleep together and soon he helps her regain her eyesight but disappears feigning his death before she can him. In reality, Rehan is a terrorist. Seven years later, they meet again and get married after Zooni understands who Rehan is. When she finds out that he is actually a terrorist, she must choose between him and India. Interestingly, Fanaa was banned in Gujarat after comments made by Aamir Khan. Critics did not appreciate the movie either; however, the movie was commercially successful. It won and was nominated for many awards. It's rare to see a movie completely based on love. Vivah is a cute and sweet love story about two people who start off in an arranged marriage situation and slowly after their engagement they fall in deep unconditional love to one another which is then tested by a fire accident. The two people are Poonam (Amrita Rao) and Prem (Shahid Kapoor). The movie was declared a box office and a critical success. M.F. Husain also created a series of pictures inspired by Amrita Rao and Vivah. Not only that, but for a while it became fashionable to wed like Poonam and Prem. What happens when a reasonably old man falls in love with a much younger girl? Well that's what both Cheeni Kum and Nishabd are about. Cheeni Kum focuses on Buddhadev (Amitabh Bachchan) and Nina (Tabu Hashmi). Buddhadev is 30 years older than Nina, yet the two still connectand soon decide to get married. However, Nina's father, Omprakash (Paresh Rawal), is against the marriage for obvious reasons. On the other hand, Nishabd focuses on Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) who falls in love with his daughter's spirited friend, Jia (Jiah Khan). This changes not only Vijay's life but also his family's life as each member slowly discover the affair. Both movies did not do too well at the box office or with critics, however, they did bring forward an idea that may not have been explored fully as of yet.

Love. That unconditional, unbinding, trustworthy, honest, and innocent feeling. It has no age barriers, no cultural boundaries, no bindings whatsoever. BollyCurry in this three  part love saga brings to you those stories which prove this testament again and again and again. Coming up in the final part will be some of the most recent 'hatqe' love stories. Stay tuned!

Wishing all our readers a very happy Valentine's Day!
