If there is one thing to be said about Bollywood celebs, it's that majority of them have such enviable figures, leading to the mind often wondering how they manage to keep in shape. After all, like all manners, even being healthy follows the "Simplicity is the Key" formula.

Bollywood's very own Barbie doll, Katrina Kaif, wows everyone with her perfect body in all of her movies and songs. So how does she keep that sexy body in shape? Well, dedication is the keyword here. Despite her packed schedule, the lady manages to give three hours a week strictly to workout which include gym, swimming and jogging. Rice is a strict no-no in her diet, while fresh vegetables and fruits take the highest priority.

Deepika Padukone, who comes from an athletic background, thanks her genes for her tall figure - which is always well-toned - making all heads turn. Ever since young age, fitness has been a daily routine for DPad, one she can never overlook. But she makes sure she enjoys her fitness routine and doesn't let it become a burden. For instance, on a boring day she won't indulge in tiring exercises if she isn't feeling up to it. Instead, she'd take up a lighter alternative. Taking a walk is one of her favorites and why shouldn't it be? Walking is considered one of the best forms of exercise! She has six meals a day that takes care of her protein, carbs and fat requirements, and caps her calories at 2000 a day. Also, she drinks loads of water which makes sure that her skin remains glowing and fresh. 

Sonam Kapoor, the widely acclaimed Bollywood fashionista, used to be a little more than just chubby. So, what made the Fat Foodie into the gorgeously healthy woman that she is today? It's nothing too dramatic. Just eating right and healthy, drinking loads of water and exercising regularly is the key! Now, that's not so hard, is it?


Apart from just following exercise regimes set by instructors, some of our Bollywood beauties have launched their very own personalized set of DVDs to share their secret of staying fit to the world. Bipasha Basu was the first one to do so with her DVD Love Yourself in which she shows easy steps to love your body by making it stay in shape. Shilpa Shetty Kundra also released yoga DVDs in which she shared the techniques for achieving inner peace as well as making sure that the body remains healthy.

Onto our male celebs who have bodies so fit that they look years younger than their age. But it doesn't come easier to them than it does for our female celebs. Salman Khan, who, despite enters the fourth decade of his life, still has the best male body in Bollywood. It also ends up that Sallu happens to cycle ten kilometers daily apart from regular gyming. 

Adrenaline junkie and stunt maniac, Akshay Kumar has lean physique compared to most and it is all due to his ten miles a week jogging plus regular walking to fuel his stamina. He prefers homemade food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, while also cutting down his salt intake.


John Abraham's washboard abs have the ladies swooning and he makes sure to work extra hard on them as well! His fitness regime targets mostly his abs, undoubtedly. Apart from his two to three hour regular gym sessions, he has also taken up kickboxing - a trend in the rising amongst our celebs.


The dancing king and always a pleasant looker, Hrithik Roshan says a strict no to ghee in all his diet, maintains an eating schedule and drinks litres of water to help keep him in the best of shape. Apart from that and all the heavy duty dancing, he makes sure to train four times a week and his boys keep him on his toes too!


While for Bollywood stars it's a must to look fit and ravishing by following a diet, we common beings should at least prioritize to lead a healthy lifestyle; if not by the strict regime they follow then by making sure we having a balanced diet and keeping active.
