Happy Birthday Sunny Leone!

 

The 13th of May marks the 33rd birthday of the vivacious and voluptuous actress, Karenjit Kaur Vohra, most popularly known as Sunny Leone.

Leone was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada on May 13th, 1981 where she lived for approximately 13 years before shifting to California with her family. Her father was born in Tibet but raised in Delhi whereas her late mother hailed from Himachal Pradesh. 

Leone first worked at a Germany bakery, followed by a stint at an automotive services shop and then at a tax and retirement firm. Whilst in the process of studying to become a pediatric nurse in Orange County, a friend, who was an exotic dancer by career, introduced her to the industry of modeling for adult magazines. This lead her to appear in various adult magazines, making her one of the most sought after models in the particular field and also managed to garner her the opportunity of working with top stars. 

The sultry actress's first appearance with a wider audience was as a reporter for the red carpet of the MTV Awards on MTV India in 2005. She also did a cameo in the film The Girl Next Door and featured in Ja Rule's music video of "Livin' It Up!. 

In 2011, Leone was seen participating in the reality show Bigg Boss where she became the epitome of controversy due to her career status. Although she introduced herself as a model, several complaints were lodged to the Indian Ministry of Information and Broadcasting alleging that Colors TV was promoting adult content with Leone's presence in the show. 

During her stay in the BB House, director Mahesh Bhatt approached her for the lead role of Jism 2 which resulted as a commercial success. She has also featured in an item song for the movie Shootout At Wadala. Following the success of both, Ekta Kapoor signed her up for Ragini MMS 2.
