Among various traits, Bollywood is probably best known for it's spectacular romance. Whether it was Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh in Kabhi Kabhi, or Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the deep passion for love is displayed in such a way that viewers cherish those favored moments for many years to come. Keeping those beautiful moments in mind, BollyCurry presents a sneak peak on some of the magical confession scenes portrayed in the history of Hindi cinema.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

"Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Naata Koi, Yoon Hi Nahi Dil Lubhaata Koi..."

The romantic comedy staring Imran Khan and Genelia D'souza is one of those rare movies that connected extremely well with the young generation. In the life of today, love doesn't only happen at first sight; it takes its time to grow and develop. One such example was the love story of Rats (Jai) and Meow (Aditi) where despite being the best of friends, it was difficult for both to understand their feelings for each other. Love struck only when the story reached its climax wherein Meow is at the airport leaving the country and Jai rushes to stop her. In the process, he is assumed to be a terrorist, and despite being thrown on the floor and surrounded by cops, he openly sings the golden era song "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" in the worst possible melody, only for Aditi; a song he had promised he would only sing for the love of his life. Such was the passion of confession!

Kal Ho Naa Ho

"Har Pal Yahaan, Jee Bhar Jiyo, Jo Hai Samaa, Kal Ho Naa Ho..."

Known as the King of Romance, Shah Rukh Khan leaves no stone unturned when it comes to confessing his feelings to his lady love. However, it was not your typical lovey-dovey confession, it was one that was untold yet understood. The confession only takes place when both Aman (SRK) and Naina (Preity Zinta) find out that Aman is suffering from cancer and was at the last stage. The confession was not expressed through words as Aman, knowing that he was not going to be around for long, denied his feelings of love for Naina. However, the tears flowing from his eyes and the their long embrace stated otherwise. A beautiful moment of silence which spoke a thousand words.

Maine Pyar Kiya

"Dil Deewana Bin Sajna Ke Maane Naa, Yeh Pagla Hai Samjhaane Se Samjhe Naa..."

This all time Salman Khan blockbuster is a typical romantic flick wherein two souls fall innocently in love with each other but the parents vehemently stand against the relation. It all begins when a small town girl, Suman, is humiliated by rich bad boys and Prem stands up for her. Instantly, a spark of love brews between the two and a confession take place through a pet bird that acts as a messenger and passes the love letters between the two. A type of love story every girl wishes to have!

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

"Subhanallah Jo Ho Raha Hai, Pehli Dafa Hai Wallah..."

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone set screens on fire with their chemistry in this movie. Naina, a sweet, innocent girl, instantly falls in love with Bunny, a fun, adventurous guy. Bunny's sweet gestures towards her makes her fall in love with him even more. However, it takes Bunny quite some time to realize that his flirtatious talks with Naina wasn't an infatuation but the "forever wala" type of a love. Naina never confesses to Bunny of her feelings, but it was always evident through her eyes. One night, out of jealousy, Bunny randomly admits to Naina that he loves her. No drama and no suspense, direct stating of "I love you" and it's done. Bingo! This is today's generation's love.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

"Na Jaane Mere Dil Ko Kya Hogaya, Abhi To Yahi Tha Abhi Khogaya..."

The 1998 worldwide blockbuster surely cannot be disregarded when talking of love. The unique confession took place only when love only struck after Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) and Simran (Kajol Devgn) departed from each other to return to their own home after their Europe vacation. Separation has always proved to be beneficial in love stories of Bollywood. After realization, Raj rushes to tell Simran of his feelings, but she has already vacated her home. Fortunately, she leaves a souvenir that they had purchased together on the door of her house. This secretly indicated that Simran would be waiting for Raj to come and get her. Therefore, despite not saying the three magical words, both Raj and Simran knew that they loved each other and could potentially cross the seven seas to unite with one another.

Love and romance is a very integral part of Bollywood without which every movie misses out on some real flavor. Vivah, Hasee Toh Phasee, Jodhaa Akbar and Veer Zaara are among others that also portrayed some passionate scenes of confession. Did you enjoy our selection of confessions?
