26th August Written Update

Jagdish complains to Dadi about Anandi, Dadi agrees but gently tries to explain to him that she is his wife after all.  But Jagdish is adamant that he will drive Anandi away – Dadi loses her temper and yells at him saying that they have a status to maintain in society and Anandi will remain with him forever.  Jagdish is annoyed and makes to storm of saying that Dadi has changed like his mother and doesn't love him anymore.

Dadi pacifies him and says that she loves him the most in the family and promises to scold Anandi and Sumitra in the morning.  Jagdish is happy and hugs her.  Later – Dadi is snoring and Jagdish thinks to himself that Dadi isn't quite even in her sleep and is probably scolding someone in her dreams.  He gets up and leaves.

Anandi's room…

Anandi and Sumitra are talking and Anandi asks for a story.  Sumitra starts one but is interrupted by Jagdish who storms in to the room.  Sumitra asks why he's not with Dadi and Jagdish surly replies that he came for a blanket as he's going to the terrace to look for a fallen star.  Sumitra asks what he will wish for – Jagdish says that he will ask for Anandi to be sent back home.  He leaves for the terrace and Anandi complains to Sumitra about Jagdish.

Sumitra pacifies her and goes back to her story.

Terrace…

Bhairav turns and is surprised to find Jagdish there who complains about Dadi's snoring and says that he's here to look for the fallen star.  Bhairav smiles and tells him to keep waiting for the star before turning around and going back to sleep.  Jagdish keeps looking at the sky and says that once he makes his wish then Anandi will leave.  However he soon falls asleep.  Sumitra arrives and pulls the blanket over him before kissing his forehead.

Morning…

The family is having breakfast.  Anandi comes in and takes her seat but Dadi scolds he and says that men eat first and instead Anandi should help Sumitra serve.  Anandi looks at Sugna but Dadi says that Sugna is the daughter of the family.  Sumitra takes Anandi to one side and pacifies her and says that when everyone is done eating, she will give Anandi a laddoo as well.  Anandi is happy and starts to serve Jagdish and Dadi looks on approvingly.

Anandi whispers to Jagdish to hurry up eating as she's really hungry.  Jagdish smiles and purposefully takes longer.  After he finally finishes eating and leaves with everyone else, Anandi hurriedly sits down to eat.  Dadi looks at her frustrated and tells her to eat in Jagdish's plate.  Anandi pulls a face as she looks at Jagdish's half eaten food and refuses.

Dadi berates her and tells her that is she doesn't eat now then she won't get any food for the whole day.  Anandi becomes increasingly upset – Sumitra finally convinces her and Anandi takes a small bite.  Dadi leaves and Anandi bursts in to tears.  Sumitra hugs her.

Village…

Anandi's parents talk about Anandi's marriage in to such a good family with happiness and have a cute moment.

Outside…

Jagdish is with his friends; they tell him to keep Anandi under control otherwise she will forever dance on his forehead.  His friends give him an idea.

House…

Jagdish comes in and Sumitra tells him to stay in the house as she is making achar and he'll need to go out if anything is missing.  Sumitra leaves to go the to terrace and Jagdish smiles to himself before heading to the betak where Anandi and Sugna are watching TV.

Jagdish says that the actress on TV is fair unlike Anandi.  Anandi retorts that all the women at the 'muh dekhai' said she was fair but Jagdish pulls out a cream and tells her to use this as this will make her look exactly like the TV actress's.  Anandi is excited and holds her hand out for it but Jagdish first makes her promise that she will not call him monkey from now on and will wear the cream now.

Anandi agrees and puts the cream on but pulls a face as she smells it.  Jagdish laughs and teases her saying that she looks like a real 'chudail' [witch] now.
