Brief update guys - sowwy!😳

Bhairav feels upset over Prasand's statement that he [Bhairav] is after all the wealth.  Sumitra consoles him and says that this is because Prasand feels lonely and doesn't mean what he says.  She advises him to talk to Dadisa in private.  Bhairav leaves and Sumitra spots Anandi who after showing her bruise, asks Sumitra why Prasand came home drunk, as well as why he dresses up despite being a widow.

Sumitra explains to her that society has different expectations from a women.  Anandi questions her more and Sumitra replies that a beendni should look after her husband whilst the beend should also care for her, buy her gifts and keep her happy.

J's room'

Anandi brings Jagdish his school uniform.  He's surprised to see her and she explains that from now on she will do all the work like Sumitra does but in return he has to buy her gifts.  Jagdish takes Anandi down to Dadisa's room where they overhear Sugna pleading with Dadisa for some money so that she can buy an 'odhni'.  Dadisa refuses and an upset Sugna storms away.

Anandi is sceptical that Jagdish will be able to get ,oney of Dadisa but he goes straight in and asks for 50 Rs.  Dadisa smiles and gives him a 100 without asking any questions.  Anandi is surprised and goes to Sugna where she asks why Dadisa favours Jagdish more than Sugna.  Sugna is upset and replies that it's because Jagdish is 'chirag' of the family.

Later'

Bhairav talks with Dadisa and says that he has found two widow's who are a similar age to Prasand.  Prasand is furious and again makes bitter remarks.  Dadisa is also angry with Bhairav for not finding better matches.  He helplessly tries to explain that no parents have unmarried daughters above the age of 12.  Dadisa retorts that she won't stand cursed women in this house who have already 'eaten away' their husbands.  Bhairav tries to reason with her, saying that it's not the women's fault their husbands died but Dadisa is firm and tells him to find a well cultured, unmarried girl for Prasand.

Later'

Jagdish comes back from school and calls Anandi before telling her to take his bag and get him washed up.  Anandi asks if he brought her bangles but he refuses saying that he plans on buying a bat instead.  Anandi's upset and replies that she won't do any of his work and leaves.

Sumitra sees this and asks Jagdish why he is troubling Anandi.  Jagdish is annoyed and says that he will have to make up with her otherwise she won't do any of his work.

He goes to Anandi's room and waves the choodiyan in front of her.  Anandi is excited and tries to take them but he runs away, forcing Anandi to chase after him.  Downstairs he bumps in to Dadisa and the bangles break.

Dadisa realises that this is what he wanted the money for and is angry that he didn't tell her beforehand.  She promises not to give him money again and leaves.  Anandi is upset but Jagdish tells her not to cry as next time Bhairav goes out, he will also go and buy her better choodiyan.
