Amit Tandon on fashion and style…

Fashion to me is…
Something that makes you feel good. It is to carry yourself well, be stylish, feel comfortable and look good.

Brands that I dig on...
Most of my jeans are from Calvin Klein, Olives, Lucky, Diesel, Armani Exchange…I like the cut design.

At home, you would find me lounging in...
At home I am as casual as I can get…You can find me lounging in jeans, t-shirts, shorts and PJs.

My gym wear is...
Track pants. A must carry is water, towel and not to forget my iPod.

Formal look to me is...
A suit and tie with a clean shave and a gel-back hair style. Of course I am also a big fan of watches so that would also be included to suit the formal outfit. I am not very comfortable in formals but at my wife's insistence, I wear it frequently.

Casual look for me is…
Jeans and t-shirt.

My party ensemble is...
Jeans and a nice shirt to go with it, pointed or funky shoes and a great watch.

My classic style statement is…
Nothing really. I just believe to dress based on how you feel everyday for a proper look.

Indian designers that I follow…
None! But I don't deny the fact that we do have some extremely talented people.

The ultimate style icon to me is…
Jackie Shroff. The way he dresses himself and the manner in which he carries himself is simply superb.

A must have is…
Wallet.

My party look for the season is….
I guess anything white will do. It suits everybody and goes well with all the colours and at all times.

The perfume, which is my signature statement…
Don Hill, Gen fall, Otia.

The colors of this season…
White anytime. I think it also depends on what suits one.

I'm a fashion junkie when it comes to…
Watches.

My favorite designer is…
Calvin Klein

My most expensive dress is….
Mostly my jeans. They are worth a few hundred dollars.

My most embarrassing fashion faux pas is…
I mostly don't freak people out with the way I dress. But in one of the recent episodes of Zara Nachke Dikha, I had to drape a saree and perform like Sridevi in Mr. India. I guess it was quite hilarious.

My fashion statement for the season is….
Be comfortable and stay cool.

cheers
