The men return home and regretfully inform everyone that Anandi hasn't been found. Sumitra weeps and worries about Anandi's condition. She also says that they should inform her parents. Bhairav looks distressed and wonders what to say. Dadisa tells them that had they not pampered Anandi then she wouldn't have dared run away. Bhairav replies that this was because of Dadisa's punishment. Prasand cuts in and says that nothing will be gained by arguing. He leaves to rest.
Village'
The women rush to Bhagwathi and give her water which she uses to revive Anandi who wakes up and promptly bursts in to tears. She tells Bhagwathi about Dadisa locking her up without food and the women are stunned.
Haveli'
Sumitra urges Bhairav that they should inform Anandi's parents. Jagdish comes running and tiredly says that he searched everywhere but couldn't find her. He angrily adds that if she reutnrs he won't let her in the house. Sugna is mad and asks why he went looking for Anandi if he doesn't like her. Jagdish replies that it's only Dadisa who doesn't like Anandi.
Dadisa overhears and scolds both of them before sending them away. She again blames Bhairav for being to soft with Anandi and Sumitra asks Bhairav to at least ring the police station and see if they have found any news.
Village'
Anandi is weeping in Bhagwathi's arms who rants about Dadisa. Kaki agrees and says how Dadisa outright lied to her about looking after Anandi. Anandi's father looks disturbed and Anandi says that she will never return to her in-laws.
Haveli'
Bhairav reaches for the phone but Dadisa bristles and tells him that he will not ring the police station every five minutes and malign their respect even more. The phone rings and Bhairav quickly picks it up. Anandi's father informs him that Anandi is with them and apologises for the trouble she caused.
Bhairav is relieved but Dadisa snatches the phone of him and tells Anandi's father that his daughter can stay there. Anandi's father is dejected but Kakasa assures hom that everything will be fine and he rings up, justa s Dadisa is ranting about Anandi.
He talks to Bhairav pleads with him to forgive Anandi. Bhairav replies that he will talk with Dadisa. Dadisa however refuses to listen and argues with Bhairav when he protests that Anandi is just a child.
Village'
Anandi is trying to sleep but remembers Ddaisa's punishment. She gets up screaming and bursts in to tears again. Bhagwathi becomes worried and hugs her.
