22/10 Written Update

 

         Sarpanch is angry

         Bhairav leaves to collect Anandi

         Gehna scared of Basanth

         Basanth-Dadisa have a talk

 

 

Anandi yells at the Sarpanch that he is a bad man for wanting to go hurt Champa and then hitting Phooli instead.  Anandi storms of and a stunned Bhagwathi apologises profusely and says that she will get Anandi to apologise but an annoyed Sarpanch replies that there is no need.  He adds that he is sure Anandi was responsible for helping Champa elope.  Sarpanch warns Khajan that he will be defaced in society and says that if this is what Anandi is doing in front of her parents then God knows what she is doing at her sasural.

 

Sarpanch leaves and Bgawathi weeps as she curses her fate at not beign able to spent time with her daughter and now they will have to send her back.

Jagdish is on lookout as Sugna flicks through Bhairav's address book to find Aandi's parents address.  She finds it at last and Jagdish copies it down in the envelope before running down.  Bhairav asks where he is going and Jagdish replies that he is going out to play as he hides the letter behind his back.  Bhairav notices it and scolds Jagdish for writing a letter to Anandi and lying to his father and tells him that there is no need to post it.

 

Jagdish looks upset but Bhairav laughs and tells him that Anandi is coming back today itself and he is going to get her.  Jagdish and Sugna ae happy to hear this and Sumitra hands Bhairav some mithai to give to Anandi's parents.  As Bhairav puts the mithai away, Jagdish looks pleadingly at Sumitra who asks Bhairav to take Jagdish along.

 

Bhairav teases Jagdish that he's probably busy playing with his friends, flying kites but Jagdish insists and a laughing Bhairav agrees.

 

Meanwhile Gehna takes tea for Basanth who grabs her arm and forces her to sit next to him.  He talks to her lovingly and asks her where she was all day.  Shaking, Gehna replies that she was working and Basanth tells her that there are others to work and she should spend time with him.  He tells her to close the door.

 

A terrified Gehna tries to get away using work as an excuse but he holds on to her and says that she should listen to her beendh.  Gehna tries to escape but stops as Dadisa enters.  Gehna slips past her and Dadisa shows Basanth some files but her eyes fall on the tea and she asks him why he is drinking tea at dinnertime.

 

She enquires about his health and becomes worried as she says that she had rushed in to his marriage thinking that his beendhni would be here to look after him but instead Gehna pays no attention to him.  Basanth is equally disturbed as he says that Gehna always remains scared of him and hasn't fit in to house yet.  Dadisa explains to him that it's his duty to get Gehna under his control otherwise tomorrow she will have wrapped him around his finger.  She advises him to start of with love and implies that if she still doesn't listen then he should use force.

Bhagwathi does Anandi's hear and chatters away to her.  Anandi remains silent but on Bhagwathi's prodding replies that Sumitra does her hair.  Bhago happily tells her that she is lucky to have a mother-in-law like Sumitra.  Khajan comes in and they both exchange glances as they notice Anandi's lost look.  Bhago tells her to go outside and play.

 

Anandi leaves quietly and her parents watch her sadly as Khajan says that she has changed so much in one day.  Bhago agrees and says that she neither laughs or eats.  Just then there is a knock at the door and both are surprised to see Bhairav and Jagdish.

 

Jagdish looks around the house and Bhairav asks for Anandi.  Khajan replies that she is inside and Jagdish eagerly goes in to meet her as the adults laugh her and Bhairav informs her parents that everyone at the house misses Anandi a lot.  Khajan is grateful that Anandi is loved so much.
