Sumitra and Gehna are washing dishes in the kitchen. Gehna wonders aloud about what made Jagya change his mind. Sumitra says the same thing and wonders why Jagya did this especially in front of Anandi's parents. Gehna tells Sumitra that she thinks Jagya did not change his mind on his own, but in fact someone has poisoned his mind. She looks around and is about to tell Sumitra something when Maasa comes there. She drives Gehna away and tells Sumitra to get her some hot water.
Gehna offers to take the water to Maasa. Sumitra agrees. Gehna goes to Maasa's room and tells her that she thinks Maasa was responsible for changing Jagya's mind. She pleads with Maasa to let the children be. She says that Maasa should especially be sympathetic to Gehna and Anandi, being a woman herself. Maasa yells at Gehna as usual. She then tells Gehna that what if she had indeed changed Jagya's mind, what could Gehna do? If she didn't like Maasa's decisions, she could leave the house. Gehna tells Maasa that she feels like leaving everyday. Maasa yells at her some more and tells her that if she leaves, she will get Basanth remarried and that it was not a big deal. Gehna leaves sadly. Maasa then prays to god that Gehna should not leave home and break Basanth's marriage.
In the morning, Phooli comes home to take Anandi school as the headmaster was going to give Anandi some inam in front of the school. Anandi wants to go with Jagya, but Sumitra tells Anandi that Jagya already left to school.At school, Jagya's friends are teasing him about him losing to his bheendni. The headmaster gives Anandi a gift. Anandi tells him that Jagya should get the gift since he was the one who made her study. The headmaster insists that Anandi deserves the gift. Anandi happily takes it while Jagya angrily looks on.
Precap : Jagya's friends taunt him that he is nothing when compared to his bheendni and a fight ensues...
