Nosy Parker decides to quench the "nose sweat" - Mani jaan
is summoned - she needs to be educated on the song "you
are my sunshine"!!!! Nosy tells Mani jaan about someone who lost
his life and found a ray of sun shine in a remote place -"he wants to
catch the ray and keep it on his lap, thappa??" Mani Jaan agrees
that it is not wrong and then Nosy gives details  - " Dr.GD is the man
who lost his life and you are the sunshine of his life. Why don't you
get yourself a new life and let ex Omni to continue being the
thodatha manaivi?? Food for thought.....??? " Mani jaan is enraged -
rightfully ( Roja kku bayagaramaa kovam vanthathu - business
irukku, unnai vida maha nosy aa oru psycho daughter irukku.....
ellathaiyum vittu ttu Oor vambu ethukku unakku??? But now we
know some thing for sure - Abi got her nosy Parker attitude from
you know who!!) Mani Jaan points out that it is most unbecoming
of nosy - " let me ask u some thing. You ran away from your hubby
who is murderer. Why did u not remarry?" Nosy has no answer.
Says that Mani Jaan hit where it hurts -"yen vayai thirakka mudiyaame
pannitte ( hmmm, un vayai enge mooduve??? adutha vambu kku alaiya
pore,pretty soon...) Mani jaan says that right now ( so future le
u might change your mind??) she is not interested in getting back with
baggage but she plans to live with the sweet memories of her courting
 days. Storms out.

Mani jaan goes directly to Dr.GD's house - confronts him for
talking to Nosy about his love - " I thought that I brought Shanthi to
a psychiatrist but now realize that he himself is a psycho!!!  I do a
job of advertising God's gift to the world...with a smiling face.....
 u need to know the difference between friendship and love....."
GD is shocked to hear all this...has no clue as to when he talked to Nosy....
 Mani jaan storms out yet again. ( Nosy chellam, irukku unakku one more

The star couple visit Nosy -- Nosy gives them seer ..blesses them....

level operations are happening.....so..." ( Roja heaves a sigh of relief...

Kirukku Priya shows that she did work for Nosy for some time after all -
 "innikki Shanthi anni kku wedding day...antha veet le nilamai is bad...
 neenga pOi wish panninaa......" Nosy is happy to have some more
 "nose  sweat" - promises to do the needful  (uh huh ...Roja nee enna
BG music kuduthaalum Nosy Nosy thaan..) As the couple leave Abi
enters...has the same smirk ( now Roja understands.....this is a genetic
 inheritance as well - if the nose itches constantly....this is the only
 expression that is possible!!) Nalla kaalam no vetti savaal exchanges -
the couple leave quietly ...hero throws a dirty look at Abi... Nosy chides
daughter for not welcoming the guests .... Senior and Junior Nosies
 leave for the temple.

Temple - Nosy gives the archanai thattu to the priest. Abi thinks
"neenga yethanai archanai panni naalum ennai thirutha mudiyaathu///"
Well, Nosy tells the priest -" Shanthi Karthik kalyaana naal.. ...archanai
 in their name...." Abi once again smirks.... angry... Nosy has her eyes
closed ..( hmmmm she can close her eyes and avoid looking at that
smirk....Roja is not that lucky!!) Abu leaves the temple in anger... the
 driver asks her "amma ketta??..." Abi hails an auto and leaves after
barking at the driver "enna venaa sollinga..."  Priest brings the prasadam..
.Nosy invites junior to take as well...turns and sees that junior is missing....
. looks shocked...

Another year has passed and Anandham updates are still being posted, but with considerably less enthusiasm!  Where has all the excitement gone?

Update for Monday, Jan 5, 2009:

Opening scene: Charu in the temple, praying intently with eyes closed.  Abi hails an auto (without any visible signs of money in her hands!), tells the driver he can tell his Madam anything he pleases, and leaves.  The priest comes to give Charu prasadam, she takes it and without looking, tells Abi to take it too (poor baby, needs to be told everything!), then realizes that baby has vanished and is nowhere in sight.  Driver comes in and tells her that baby dearest has left in an auto for parts unknown, she is wondering where.

Abi in auto, sees Nallan walking on street, tells auto driver to stop for a second and gets down and calls Nallan, who comes running up to his Madam, ever willing to pass on snippets of info about the RK family.  He tells her that Shanthi refuses to be dislodged from the Karthik household, nor will she let Manisha leave, and RK is in a state of constant tension.  He adds that the situation will be resolved only if Shanthi's mama comes on the scene, giving Abi food for thought.  She thanks Nallan for the info, and in the meanwhile, I am wondering about waiting charges for the auto man.  How much would he have charged>? I am still wondering.

Charu goes to the Karthik household.  Shanthi and Karthik in conversation about their wedding anniversary. Karthik asks Shanthi to go to the temple, and she tells him she is living there as his ex-wife.  Charu comes in and judges the situation and talks to Shanthi about how she put on an act of being depressed, Manisha did her act by demanding money, overall, they have made a drama of their family life and become a source of amusement to the public (and to us, source of irritation?).  She also reminds Shanthi that the innocent children have become the victims of their games in all this and to consider their well being.  She leaves.  I still do not understand who appointed Charu as the resolver of all conflicts in every household in the city.

Abi at home, thinking.  She decides to go to Shanthi's mama's village instead of merely talking to him over the phone (maybe she thinks her expressions will be more effective than her words, I am wondering what new expressions she is going to bring in) and just as she reaches her car, mommy arrives in her car.  Both cars are on the street (evidently they don't have any garages!), and mommy goes up to Abi and asks where she had gone.  Of course, Abi does not give any answer and says she is going to give a savaal to God and is going somewhere and Charu will know where by tomorrow.  She leaves, and mommy is still standing in the street.

Shanthi's mama goes to someone's house.  That man's daughter has come back because her hubby has said that she is crazy.  Mama says that they should have called in the panchayat and sends someone to call the guy's parents to come over to their village.  He tells the other guy that he will ensure that his daughter gets her life back.  Abi driving in car, mommy trying to reach daughter, daughter keeps cutting off the connection and disconnects the phone eventually.  Mommy wondering where daughter could be going.  Daughter in car, car is moving, scenes of coconut palms in the background.  FREEZE

Yet another NWW episode except for a brief glimpse of ACD and Priya.

Update for Tuesday, Jan 6, 2009:

Opening scene: Madhavan Mama is telling mami about the girl who has been sent back home because her inlaws claim that she is a mental case and how he is going to straighten them out.  Mme. Abi walks in, as always, uninvited, and Mama and mami want to know why she is there.  Abi tells them it is because of Shanthi who is in the same plight as the girl they were talking about and the rest of the conversation was muted.  At the end, mama is riled about it and decides to leave for chennai immediately.  Abi tells him to go in her car, it is the fastest way to travel.  He leaves, but not before warning his wife not to call Shanthi and let her know about his coming there. 

Charu is looking at her watch and the night sky, her daughter Abi is still not returning calls.  She calls her office, I guess, and is told that Abi did not go there.  Finally she calls a certain number and guess who that is?  ACD, who has just returned from work and is still in his uniform.  Priya has just laid the table and she sits down beside him with a smile and says she has dinner ready, and he replies (with a smile!) - Adhaan theriyudhe! and the phone rings.  Charu tells ACD that her baby hasn't returned home.  He asks if she has checked everywhere and she says she has done that.  He asks if she may have gone to SKPD and also if she could have gone to Srini.  Charu says that they had a disagreement in the morning and she left after that.  Then ACD gets the car license plate number from her and promises to get on the case.  So much for his hopes for a quiet evening cuddling with Priya.  He calls the control room (after changing into a long sleeved shirt!) and relays the number to them and asks them to track the car.  Apparently, they have mobile cameras surveying all the streets in Chennai and thereabouts, and can track individual cars, but lack the time or the energy to solve any of the murder cases.

Charu is still pacing, looking at the fake moon in the sky, looking at her watch, still in the same sari she wore in the morning, then she lies down on the couch and finally, drops off to sleep.  Meantime, the officers in the control room are busy scanning the streets of Chennai on their monitors, and lo and behold, they spot Abi's car on the road from Chingleput to chennai.  They relay the news to ACD, who in turn calls Charu and tells her the news.  She is wondering who Abi could have met in Chingleput.

Mama opens the gate to Karthik's house, goes to the door, which is open as always, calls out loudly for Shanthi and Manisha appears.  He gives her a sneer and a look which should make her insides curl, and shouts out for Shanthi.  He says a few rude things to her and then Shanthi comes downstairs.  What was she doing upstairs?   I thought she had shifted her bedroom to the one downstairs.  Karthik materialises from somewhere and stands there.  Mama  tells her to pack her stuff and she wants to know where he wants her to go.  Then Indhu comes down and he tells Shanthi that they are going back to the village and he doesn't want Indhu to stay in this troubled household any more.  FREEZE ...

Update for Wednesday, Jan 7, 2008:

Opening scene: Madhavan mama tells Shanthi that between the three of them, they have made Indhu's life a living hell (who told him that?  I thought she was enjoying having two ammas and a playmate) and it was high time they thought of her life.  He insists that Shanti return to the village with him, and shouts at Karthik for having done this to S.  He tells Shanthi to return to the village not as his marumagal, but as his magal.  Hmm, I thought her MIL was K.R. Vijaya, and she was a widow.  Finally, S goes and packs her stuff and takes Indhu with her.  Karthik says he promised his friend that Indhu would leave the house only as a married woman, but Mama shouts at him that he is not Indhu's petha appan (frankly, I don't care for the language used by him) and they leave.  One observation -  Shanti didn't even stop to wear slippers!  M goes to the phone to call someone.

Abi returns home and Charu wants to know where she has been.  She says that she has accomplished what God could not do, namely, that she has sent Shanthi packing to the village and nobody need worry about what is going to happen in that family, whether M or S should live with Karthik.  Charu is shocked, then she says that she will not send Abi out of the house, but she will reform Abi and make her a good person (in your dreams, lady!)

RK enters Karthik's house, M is sitting on a couch and crying.  RK asks what happened and M tells him about mama coming and shouting at K and herself and taking Shanti and Indhu back to the village with him.  RK says that mama is a hot tempered guy and used to shouting, and he will go to the village and talk to Shanti.  He asks for K, and M says he has gone somewhere, so RK asks M to take care of him because he is upset.  RK leaves.

Shanti, Indu and mama enter the house in the village.  Mami comes out and looks strangely at Shanthi.  Mama growls at her and asks her to get the hot water ready for Shanthi.  She goes inside and Shanthi asks mama not to yell at mami/athai.  She asks mama how he came to know about her depression, and mama beats about the bush.  Finally, he blurts out Abi's name, so she knows that this was all Abi's doing.  The camera freezes on her face ...

Folks, the end is in sight.  Karthik is going to shoot Arjun, then he will go and shoot Abi, and whoever is left will be killed by Sameer and if he fails, then I will go in and personally finish off this story.

Update for Thursday, Jan 8, 2009:

Opening scene: Madhavan mama is telling Shanthi that it is immaterial who was responsible for her leaving the house, the important thing is that she will be peaceful in this house.  He leaves for the fields.  Shanthi is thinking.

Karthik is sitting on a couch and looking upset.  Manisha comes down, sees his plate is still untouched, and asks him to eat.  He refuses and says it won't make any difference if he doesn't eat for a day (I agree!).  Everyone looks well fed on all these shows, even when they are in jail (case in point: Srini, SKPD).  Manisha tries to call Shanthi on her cell phone, but Shanthi and Indhu are asleep.  Madhavan mama comes there, sees Manisha's name on the cell phone and switches it off.

RK goes to Madhavan Mama's house, mama yells at him and asks him why he is here.  RK tries to calm him down, but he refuses to listen and continues to shout, saying that Karthik is living with two women in one house, Madhan did the same thing, and is RK also like that?  RK is horrified, Shanthi who has just entered is shocked and tries to stop mama but he doesn't listen.  RK leaves and Shanthi is in tears.

Arjun is furious and goes to Karthik's house, shouts at him and Karthik shouts back.  Arjun raises his hand to strike Karthik, Manisha tries to stop them, Karthik stops Arjun and Arjun leaves in a fury. He goes home and yells at Anitha, then tells her to leave and return only when Shanthi returns.  She in turn says that she will decide if she wishes to return (loud music in the background all the while).

Rocky wants to go and see Indhu, Manisha tells him that is not possible, he says everyone is school is asking about Indhu, and he wants to talk to her.  She tries to put him off, Karthik comes in and tells Rocky to listen to his mother, and then Anitha comes storming in and flings her bag on the ground.  Karthik is furious on hearing what has happened, and he goes upstairs and takes his revolver and says he is going to teach Arjun a lesson.  Manisha tries to stop him, but he pushes her away and leaves in the car.  FREEZE

Update: January 9, 2009

 

Arjun's life is spared  -- Karthik is brought to his senses by RK. Scene begins with RK arriving first at Arjun's home, which is locked. K comes in just then, gun in hand, and is shocked to see daddy. RK then gives a verbal firing. He dares K to shoot him first, then to shoot the rest of the family. He says death would spare him the agony of having to witness the unfolding drama. As K remains speechless, RK chides him for not being able to solve his problem and not behaving like the educated man he is supposed to be [we all agree]. Arjun arrives home at this point. [The entire confrontation takes place in the front yard of Arjun's home; yes, Eljay, I know you squirm at this lack of sense but no neighbours seem in sight.] K raises his gun again and stares at Arjun, then walks off to his car. 

Arjun invites RK into his house but RK refuses to enter and accuses Arjun of having chased out Anitha. Arjun in turn accuses RK of nonchalance about Shanthi having been forced out of her home. He says RK's agony over his daughter's ouster from her home should enable him to  understand what he, Arjun, is going through with Shanthi's ouster from the K household. RK protests his innocence, saying he had tried to reason with Shanthi's Mama but in vain. Arjun says the whole thing is RK's fault; he should have done something the minute Manisha walked into the K household. RK laments that Anitha, like Arjun, seems to have lost confidence in her dad's judgement, which is why she left her home and went not to the RK home but to K's home. Arjun says he is sorry but until Shanthi is taken back into the K household RK cannot expect his own daughter to return to her husband's home.

 

Abhi goes to K's home. [Door is wide open, so, Eljay, please don't complain about Abhi entering the house; she herself wonders why the door is open and takes it as an invitation to enter.] Manisha appears and pouts, as usual. Abhi congratulates Manisha for having eventually succeeded in driving out Shanthi. She says there are two methods for achieving one's goals -- scheming and strategic planning. Her own methodology is scheming but M had managed to use planning to evict Shanthi, she says. She then dispenses unwanted advice, telling Manisha not to give up in the face of resistance from members of RK's household who want to get rid of her from K's life. She says Manisha is the rightful lady of the house. She advises her to ensure that Shanthi does not ever return. M tells Abhi to leave. But, like General MacArthur, Abhi declares, "I shall return." You need my advice over and over again, so I shall keep returning, promises Abhi.

 

K is at home, downcast. Rohini comes in and chides him for not having made any attempt to stop Shanthi from leaving. K protests that Mama was adamant about taking away Shanthi and he never expected Shanthi to go along with him. Rohini accuses K of having exploited a situation that was in his favour as he had no intention of having Shanthi stay. She claims Manisha had changed his mind. Manisha, she says, should have left long ago, as she had intended to. [Thanks for echoing our thoughts, Rohini.] She charges that Manisha had a secret desire to reunite with K. Rohini also scolds K for not having reasoned with Anitha and sent her back to her husband. She says K should have gone to Arjun's home, fallen at his feet and pleaded with him to take his sister back instead of trying to kill him. This is a family, not a battlefield, she stresses; you should talk, not fight. Rohini also has some harsh words for her dear husband for gloating in the current turn of events. Then she storms out.

 

Shameless Abhi now enter's Arjun's home. Calling him "thambi", she says she had come to thank him. Arjun gives a quizzical look. Abhi says she is proud of him for having spoken up on Shanthi's behalf, at the expense of turning out his own wife from his home. She says his search for justice for Shanthi is tantamount to his speaking up on her own behalf when she was turned out of Madhan's home. Arjun tells her to leave, saying he knows it was she who had conspired to get Shanthi out of K's house. With her famous smirk, Abhi says "Varrein". Arjun replies: "Varadhey!"

Shadow is at home and the dhobi comes - "rendu moonu
tharam vanthutten.....madam illiyaa??" Arjun does not miss
 his wife,  asks for accounts which again is with madam. He is
dispensed with some money. Mani Jaan ariives ( athu onnum
illai, antha veettu raasi apdi, ellar problem un solve panna
thaan jenmam apdinnu ninaippu!!!! Omni no 3??) Arjun shows
his unhappiness openly - Mani Jaan tries to drill some sense
 in to him ( vaadi mma nee oruthi thaan baaki!!!) " Why do spoil
your life because of us?? U act as if u are the only one who is
interested in ex omni'slife?? I also want her to get back to
baggage!!! ( enakku vendam poosanikkaiii) Why hate me like
this? Your whole family is maakkans ( maanga nnu sollu Mani
jaan) Do u realize that I am the most affected in this whole drama??
Now i am ready to fall at your feet, get Anitha back, ok?" Arjun
refuses the motion - "vetoed, go away"..... Ex Omni is mooning
around...athai wants to know if she is worried about her future.
Shanthi says that she is worried about  Indhu - "she is now grown,
When maama talked about her mind getting corrupted, I did
not think of any thing else, just did a lamb act ( Mary had a
little lamb..little lamb...little lamb - BG by Roja)  Did not think about
her education.... ( TC vaangineye, appo enna plan???) Since athai
does not own a school, she is unable to offer admission....
leaves it to destiny .... Shanthi is pensive...

Now Mani jaan does some counseling to Anitha ( awww just
because a psychiatrist had romantic notions, she thinks that
she is an expert counselor!!!) Anitha talks about mirror mirror on
the wall...... Arjun is adamant... Mani jaan says that it is Karthik's
mandai which replaces marbles in their family game....But
Anitha does not want to relent.... Anitha gets some letter.....
shocked expression in both the faces...... Mani jaan goes straight
to senior maanga.... talks about ...Rojaaaa neram unakku sariyaa
illai diiiii " the baby is a burden inside the stomach, once born
it is the hip which carries the burden..grows up a little and now
shoulders have to bear the burden.." ( enna solla vare nee??
Giri,  antha papers ellam na muzhusaa destroy pannaliyaa???
CR kaile konajm kidaichuduthaa???ayyyoooo Rojaaa sariyana
half baked nee, when given a job, cant u do it fully??? Ippo
paaru, pakkam pakkam aa dialog!!) Finally we know that the
letter is a divorce notice from Arjun - Mani wants maanga to
take over.....

Maama is building a new house(???!!!!) for ex Omni as he does
not want her to miss out the luxuries she had . Boasts to
Shanthi but athai intervenes " she does not think about them
at all, u keep reminding her...." What followed next sent Roja
straight to her drawing room wall - ethukku?? enna yya kelvi??
Muttikkathaan.... Mama gives the scissors to shanthi and says
some golden words ( u folks better read it properly, golden
words are not repeated, ok??) " If u think that u do not want
any thing to do with Karthik, cut this thread by yourself...
Life is all about that thaali kayiru..." Shanthi is shocked...
(amazing how this woman ever ran a business?? it is either
snakes and ladders game or snipping a thread which teaches
her ...the philosophy of life.....)

well Mr.freedom is back

Ex omni and maama again - philosophy of life hangs in that
thread - as Roja was gearing up for yet another urupadatha
page of dialog ....ex must have perceived the agony -tells maama
that she refuses to equate life to that flimsy thread - says that
all that matters to her now is  Indhu. But maama wants to have the
last word - " i do so much for you..won't I take care of Indhu as well??
Now if u want me to stop talking about Karthik, u have to snip this
 thread ( Roja almost got in to the screen and pushed ex to
cut the thread!!) Ex again sensed Roja's sentiments - takes the
scissors and bends down (??? ethukku bending nnu yaaranum
kettinga, kolai vizhum.. pinne how else can she exhibit that
thaali hanging from her neck??? ) Roja closed her eyes for
she was sure that the next step will be that "sarva mangala
mangalyeee" but maanga decides to strike again ( ayyo, yovvvv
cut panre nerathile vanthu ethukku yya enga yuirai edukkare??)
Maanga calls Ex and she escapes from the thread cutting
ceremony. Maanga is invited inside but he knows where he should
stand. Hands the divorce notice to Ex who is shocked. Maanga
 wants her to come back and unite Anitha and shadow, Ex packs
her bags. Maama is angry about this - "they do not care about your
life!! Why do u bother to help?" Ex prooves that she has ulterior
motives "Shanthi left that home and so the whole RK clan went
haywire nnu yaarum solla koodaathu. I will go ,  do the needful
and get back. Maanga acts as if he is not in the scene ( nee enna
aanaalum, just make sure to make my daughter's life ok,
avvalavuthaan) The trio leave ( Roja kku ippo oru unmai theriju
aaganum - Namba IF Aanadam sufferers yaaranum Viduthalai
kitte poi what is the distance between Ex's village and town nnu
kettingalaa?? Yaaru??yaaaruuuuuuu???/) The car
 goooooooooeeeeeeeeesssss

Well hero is working - starts around 10 pm - Priya brings a cup
of milk?? tea?? coffee?? whatever - and leaves it by his side.
Goes to the bed room - waits until around 11 pm and cant hold
any more - sleeps ( athu sari..nee enge urupada pore?? Nalla
korattai vittu thoongare??!!! ennega..innum konjam tea venumaa??
ada da vaicha coffee cold aache, puthusu kondu varavaa..apdinnu
yethanum kettu un existence ai kaata maate??? hmmm inge
Giri and Bon maanju maanju romance story ezhutharaanga....
Caryn... unga mouth kku 1 kg baklava... azhu moonji nnu azhaga
oru title kuduthingale...... ) Priya snores and sleeps.... hero manages
 to keep his make up all in tact .... furrowed eye brows.... works till 6
am - tea vending machine comes and gives another cup, prepares
the breakfast., asks hubby to eat (marakkame saapidunga romba
 mukkiam!!) and leaves for work. Looks like Viduthalai did some
home work - must have gone through Vinu's list - kilarufying all old
 kuppais....Divyaaaaaa   Comes to work.....Babu brings details
of Divya's murder.....ACD goes through some photos.. Kanthuuuuuuuu.......
anddddd Abiraami.... ( Kanthu chellam, seekiram vaamma, lets have
some comic relief..... mamungoo nnu nee kooppittale porum...... )

Kandu's back!

 

Hero -- that is ACD, not Karthik -- keeps staring at Abhi's case report. He gives Insp Babu the old story about his transfer to Chennai having been prompted by the need to investigate Divya's murder. Muted dialogues, presumably ACD instructing Babu to keep focusing on the case.

 

Scene 2. Charu visits ACD's home. Hero has changed into a resplendent red kurta and white pants and, as usual, is hooked on to the computer. Wifey has gone to the temple. Charu laments about her daughter's incorrigible ways and wonders how to reform her. ACD tells her that Abhi had reunited with her not out of affection but in search of refuge from the law. He says Abhi won't reform through the show of affection; the only way to reform her would be by allowing the law to take its course. He says the police dept has many suspicions about Abhi and requests Charu not to stand in the way of their investigation. Charu agrees that the law may be the only way of reforming Abhi, thanks ACD and leaves.

 

Ex-Omni charges into Arjun's house to thrash him for sending a divorce notice to Anitha and causing distress to RK and others in the family. Arjun says he saw no other way of reuniting Shanthi with Karthik. He also accuses RK of selfishness, of being nonchalant about his daughter-in-law's marriage but intervening only when his own daughter's marriage was threatened. Shanthi asks whether Arjun was threatening Anitha or threatening herself and forcing her to reunite with Karthik. She compares Anitha with Abhi and says Abhi had tried to break up a family and therefore deserves to be thrown out of the family; Anitha, on the other hand, had come to live with Arjun, so he should treat her with grace. Finally, Shanthi declares that she will decide the course of her own life and doesn't need Arjun to make decisions for her. She tears up the divorce notice and says she hopes Arjun will make a wise decision about his marriage.

 

A priest visits Charu's home. She had summoned him as she needed a date for Pechu Patti's thidhi. Priest asks who will perform the rites and where they will be done. Priest talks about the importance of doing the right thing to pacify and release the soul. Charu says unfortunately PP's son is not around to do the rites. She gives the priest some money and tells him to arrange for the ceremony to be performed at her home.

 

Some construction site with plenty of heavy trucks. Abhi gets out of her car and looks around. An SUV is waiting. Out steps ... Kandu, who respectfully holds up his hand in prayer and chants the magic phrase, "Vanakkam Mamungo!" Kandu has grown a graying beard. [Unfortunately, a different voice is doing the dubbing and that inimitably charming Kandu drawl is missing; the dubbing artiste also is rather monotonous in his dialogue delivery.] Abhi demands to know why Kandu had summoned her. Kandu says ACD had re-opened the Divya murder investigation and had summoned him for questioning again. He warns Abhi that she too may be implicated. Abhi, of course, is in a defiant mood. She says ACD is really gunning for her, rather than for Kandu, but she is fearless. Kandu advises her to be cautious. Abhi in turn tells him to stick to his guns. "Have no fear, Now, go!" As Abhi and Kandu drive off, a man emerges from behind one of the trucks. Presumably a police informer, he whips out his cellphone and dials.

 

SKPD in jail is brought to the visitors centre. Charu appears to his shock. He demands to know why she had come. Was she here to create more problems for him? Charu says creating problems is in his DNA, not hers. Some angry exchanges follow. Finally, Charu says she will say her piece and leave. She tells him his Mother's thidhi is coming up and advises him to observe a fast on that day. She adds that she's telling him this not for his own good but in the interest of freeing a good woman's soul. She curses him, saying he will spend the rest of his life behind bars and leaves. SKPD stares at her. Freeze.
