Phooli comes to meet Anandi to show her something. Upon seeing Basanth coming down, Anandi takes Phooli to the backyard. Phooli shows her a bottle of water in which she has kept some mung beans. She tells Anandi that the beans have begun to sprout and that her teacher says that even plants have life. Anandi and Phooli then talk about life in things that cannot speak and how cruel it is to hurt such things. Gehna watches the kids. She goes to the mirror and strokes her stomach. She tells her baby that if she could help it, she would never think of killing it. She apologises to her baby and cries.
Sumitra comes to Gehna with breakfast. Gehna tells her that to protect Sumitra and Bhairav from Maasa's wrath, she had agreed to talk to Maasa and Basanth about abortion. Now she knows that what she fears has come true. Maasa and Basanth didn't care if she lived or died. All they want is a son for Basanth. She tells Sumitra to get ready if she wants to come with her as she was going ahead with the abortion. Sumitra tells her that she will try talking to Maasa again, but Gehna says its of no use.
Suguna goes to meet Pratap. She gives Pratap the scarf. Pratap gives her a mobile phone so that she can talk to him all the time. Suguna is very happy.
Sumitra and Bhairav are getting ready to go with Gehna. Sumitra still is not sure, but Bhairav says that he will support Gehna since she had the right to save her own life. Sumitra says that it was at the expense of another life. Jagya comes looking for Thausa as someone from the village kept calling for him. Just then they hear Thausa calling out to Maasa in the living room.
Basanth comes home with Gehna's family. He asks Suguna to fetch Gehna. Gehna's parents ask Maasa why they were called. Basanth tells them that he had called them and not Maasa. He does not want to live with a woman who is out to kill his son. Gehna comes there. Maasa sends the kids inside. Basanth then starts complaining about Gehna to her parents. He tells them that he did not have any intention of keeping Gehna with thim since she has decided to terminate her pregnancy. Gehna's parents are shocked.
Precap : Gehna's mother asks Gehna about the abortion. Gehna tries to tell her what the doctor said, but Maasa stops her saying she was giving lame excuses and that everything was fine. Gehna's father tells Maasa that Gehna will not proceed with the abortion...
