More loud banging made her fully awake. She realized it was yet another dream. A dream that seemed so very real. She went and opened the door and told her anxious looking mother that she will be down in a few minutes and closed the door.
This was the first time she had visited her family in more than a year. A year unlike any other in her young life. She had left the KMA. Was posted at a place far from KMA. Had carried on her life doing her duties as a soldier and her day a to day work. She was not in contact with anybody from her previous life.
She did not want any contact, it would have been nice. She continued to receive mails and phone calls, all of which she just ignored. What can they say that will heal her. What can she say to them.
She knew her actions hurt them, wished she changed and reached out to them too. Maybe one day down the road.
She did not know why she thought of them now. Maybe it was because of the persistent questioning from her mother about her old friends.
She did not want to think of the dream. She had been getting dreams for the past week, dreams that seemed so real. She knew it was his mail that triggered it.
She hated him for it. She hated him for doing this to her. She was getting on with her life. She had accepted life and what it had to offer. She had begun to accept the inevitable.
So why had he to do this. But then how did he do this. Maybe he had confided about the mail to someone and the person had activated the mail one year after his death. She was not too tech or net savvy to know how this worked.
She had finally lost hope and was beginning to acknowledge he had truly left the world.
But then could this also mean he is alive and sent the mail. But she knew with all her heart, if he was capable of sending a mail, he will never send such a mail. He would have at least given a clue that he was alive.
The reason she decided to visit her mother were the unanswered questions that were tormenting her. She needed a change to keep her from turning insane.

She could still feel the feelings the dream had aroused. Unable to control she sat down and cried, huge sobs wracked her body.
She got up and went to the bathroom, and stood beneath the shower. Tears mingled with cold water and flowed down her body. Knowing that she could not be heard outside, she cried loudly, sobbing out his name and wishing the tears could dim her pain and longing.
More for long will she cry.
She did not know how long she stood like that, after a while she closed the taps reached for the towel wrapped it around her and walked to her bedroom. She went and stood in front of the full length mirror and looked at her reflection. Her face was swollen with all the crying. She studied her body, after discarding the towel. She was the same, her body was the same, yet she was not the same person.
She tried to remember the dream, but it was already fading, she could not remember it, she could only know how she felt. It had been the same for the past few days.
Earlier it had been nightmares, horrible dreams that seemed so true. Now these...
She had always received admiring glances, she enjoyed them before.
She knew the loss, the pain, had somehow made her more beautiful.
She had been receiving admiring looks from men, some from men whom seemed to genuinely like her.
She just hated it, she hated them.
Her body was created for a man's touch.
But she knew her body was created for only one man's touch.
And certainly knew her body will become dust knowing no man's touch.
