SIRF TUM

A Dev - Radhika STORY

 

Chapter 1

 

Today in the Vrindavan palace....there was too much rush-rush going on coz thier beloved son was going to come back from US after so many years.

 

In the aangan, Daadi is loudly asking the servants to hurry up in cleaning the stuff around and she goes in kitchen n asks the cook to prepare all her grandsons favorite dishes and sweets....its been such a longtime that he might have tasted the home food.

 

Vaishali was looking at Daadi from far away and kept smiling at her...Daadi looks at her and says..."arre bahu...kya door se sirf muskurati hi rahegi ya tayyariyo mein meri madad bhi karegi."

Vaishali comes close to her n says...."maa...abhi aapke laadle ko aane mein poore 3 ghante hai...aap bhi na bilkul chote bachcho ki tarah kar rahi hai."

Daadi gets emotional and says..."kya karoo bahu...itne dino baad jo dekhungi main apne pote ko...waise yeh Purohit, vivek aur ghar ke baakhi log kaha reh gaye??"

 

Purohitji comes down with Vivek and says...."Maa...main aur Vivek zara jab tak meeting se ho ker aate hai...tab tak aapka laadla bhi aa jaayega."

Daadi was not happy but she says...."dekho main kahe deti hoon....jab voh aaye toh saare log ghar hi mein ho."

Purohitji shares his look with Vaishali and Vivek...all smile and Vivek and Purohitji leaves.

 

It was evening and everyone was waiting and Daadi was getting too impatient and then she sees Birju coming in'..she snaps at him n asks'.."arre tu'tu akela hi aa gaya'..voh voh kaha hai?"

 

"Main yaha hoo Daadi."''a voice came from the doorway'and everyone turned towards the entrance n there he was'..Dev'.tall'.sleek'and handsome'.he was smiling looking at everyone waiting for him''He wore the a black suit with the silver shirt inside and was looking very handsome'..he had his one hand in his pant pocket and had a smile tucked on the corner of his lips.

 

Daadi, Vaishali, Purohitji, Vivek and his wife Mrinalini were very excited to see him'.Dev slowly walks towards them n touches everyones feet and hugs Daadi.

Daadi says'."hum kab se aapka intezaar kar rahe the'kitni deir laga di tune."

Dev was really curious now..he turns to everyone n asks'."kya baat hai??....mujhe aisa kyu lag raha jaise aaj ka intezaar thoda special hai ?"

Vaishali looks at him smilingly n answers instead'."apne pote ko dekhne ke liye toh special intezaar hi hoga na''kyu maa???"

Daadi smiles and kisses Dev on forehead n says'.." abhi abhi toh aaya hai'chalo usse thoda aaraam toh karne do."

Daadi takes him inside n asks him to get freshen up as they'll be waiting for him at dinner.

Dev says while walking in'.."Daadi'dinner ko bahut time hai'.tab tak main zara vrindavan dekh aao??"

Daadi smiles n says'."haan'.theek hai per jaldi aa jaana."

 

It was evening'.the sun was almost about to set when Dev sits by the stairs of the temple and looks over the panghat'.and tries to capture some beautiful sceneries in his camera'.he picks up the camera and looks through it and then suddenly he hears a laughter.

Dev turns still looking through his camera to where the laughter was coming from and then he stops and keeps looking through his camera'..he sees a girl with long hair, beautiful smile on her lips'.blindfolded'.was trying to catch a little boy who keeps pulling her duppatta.

 

Dev notices that everytime the boy pulls her duppatta she laughs lightly before turning towards him to catch him'..that made Dev smile too'..he tried to look at her closely but with the wind blowing'and the blindfold on her'.he could hardly see her face as her hair keeps covering her face.

 

And then to end his impatience'.she catches the boy and then sit down laughingly with him and then takes out the blindfold and kisses the boy on the cheek'..the moment Dev sees her face'.he takes a deep sigh and puts the camera away still staring at her'..and just when he blinks he realizes that the girl was gone'.he looks around but finds no one'.he smiles lightly and then touches the back of his hair and goes away.

 

Dev comes home still thinking about the girl and goes straight to his room'.he sits on his rocking chair,  closes his eyes, rests his head back on the chair and tries to relax'..and after a while he hears a similar laughter'..he opens his eyes n looks around'..he doznt see anyone'..he shakes his head and goes back to his relaxing position and then he hears the laughter again'..this time he open his eyes and goes and stands by the window'.and smiles on the thought of remembering that girl's laughter that he heard in the evening.

He cudnt believe that someone's presence for a brief moment cud effect his thoughts so much'.he folded his hands in front of him and taking a deep breath'.leaned to the wall staring at the sky'.wishing for seeing her again.....SOON.

Chapter 2

 

Next morning Vaishali enters Dev's room and hez sleeping....she tries to wake him up...."Dev chalo utho...aaj puja hai....hamare punditji bhi aate honge...chalo jaldi se fresh ho jaao hum sab neeche intezaar karenge."

Dev with his sleepy eyes keeps looking at his mom and as though she read his thoughts already she says...."nahi aur thodi deir nahi...bas jaldi se utho...tumhare dad wait kar rahe hai neeche."

Dev gets up uninterestingly and goes to take a shower.

 

Downstairs...Mrinalini starts her taunts by saying...."yeh achcha hai...ke saare ghar wale ek laad saab ka intezaar karne ke liye aadhe ghante se neeche khade hue hai...aur voh hai ke neeche aane ka naam hi nahi le rahe."

Dev suddenly appears n says...."aap agar awaaz dengi toh majaal hai ke aapka yeh dewar hazir na ho??...toh li jiye bhabhi....main aa gaya....ab aur koi hukum?"

Everyone smiles at him but Mrinalini huffs and turns n leaves.

 

They all reached mandir and when everyone were going upstairs...Dev slows down so Daadi turns n asks him...."ab kya hua Dev....chal na."

Dev turns towards the car and then towards Daadi n says...."Daadi...main apna camera bhool gaya...aap log chaliye main aa raha hoon."

 

Everyone else leaves and few seconds later Dev gets his camera and was walking up the stairs checking out his camera....when someone stops him..."arre babuji....zara sambhal kar....meri didi ne abhi seedhiya dhoyi hai".

Dev turns n finds a little boy....Dev was trying to recollect where had he seen the boy when he hears someone calling him..."Nandu."

Dev turns and follows the voice....which also seemed familiar to him....he climbs up the stairs and sees a girl turned away from him calling for the boy again....she was splashing water on the mandir floor to clean it.....she calls out again...."Nandu....thoda paani la doge."

 

Dev looks at the boy who runs to get some water in a bucket....and since it was too heavy Dev helped him get it....Dev stopped right behind the girl n said...."yeh li jiye aapka paani."

As soon as he finished his sentence Dev noticed that the girl jumped on his voice and turned to look at him....and in that the mug slipped out of her hand and to catch the mug the girl also tripped n fell on the ground....landing on Dev's feet.....in a such a way that it looked like she was doing pranam to him.

 

Dev got worried thinking she might have got hurt and so he holds her by her shoulders n helps her up.....and it was then that he saw her face....and that too from so close.....it was the same girl he saw yesterday evening at the panghat....but this time she was all drenched with water on her clothes and on her face.

She slowly looked at him but there was a fear in her eyes....it looked to Dev as though that girl was afraid to be near him....and upon that he was holding her.....But still Dev didnt let go off her...he kept looking into her eyes.

 

Thier eyelock broke when someone called out....."Radhika!!"

And the girl jumped under his hold n then she looked at Dev strangely and ran towards the direction where the voice was coming from.

Dev smiled in himself....and repeated....."Radhika"

Nandu looked at him n said...."haan Radhika....meri didi ka naam hai....aur main Nandu.....per aap kaun ho??"

Dev bend towards Nandu with a smiling face n was about to answer when Mrinalini comes n says...."aap yaha khade hai dewarji....aur waha sab aapko pooch rahe hai....aap abhi aayenge ya hum pooja hi kisi aur din rakhwale??"

Dev smiles wide at Mrinalini's taunt n says...."kisi aur din rakhwa lete bhabhi.....per aap itni door aa chuki hai toh bhagwaan naraaz ho jayenge ke humne aapko bina pooja karwaye wapas le gaye...toh chaliye....aaj hi pooja kar lenge."

Mrinalini agains huffs and turns n leaves in very upset mood.

 

Dev steps into the mandir n Purohitji introduces him to their pundit....."punditji....yeh hai mera chota beta Dev....bas kal hi US se aaya hai....toh humne soncha ke iske salaamti ke liye ek pooja rakh le."

Punditji smiles n says....."bahut achcha vichaar kiya aapne....aao beta yaha baitho."

Purohitji says again...."haan haan beta baitho....yeh pundit Brij Mohan Shastri hai....hamare devi maa ke mandir ke pujaari hai barso se.....hum bahut maante hai inhe."

 

Dev sits down n says namaste to him n then punditji looks for something n then turns n calls out...."arre Radhika beta....zara thoda ghee toh le aana."

As soon as he hears the name Radhika.....Dev turns towards where Punditji was looking....but then he turns in front thinking thats not the same girl....the other girl comes and gives him the ghee n says...."bauji...voh Radhika ke kapde geele ho gaye the...toh isliye...."

Punditji smiles n nods n says...."theek hai koi baat nahi....purohitji yeh hamari beti hai Vishaka....beta pranam karo inhe."

Vishaka does so and leaves....Dev was curious to know about radhika....and when Punditji didnt say anything about her...he was about to ask when Daadi asks...."Punditji....phir yeh Radhika kaun hai ??"

Punditji replies..."Radhika...meri dusri beti....voh abhi mandir ki seedhiyan aur zameen dho rahi thi...toh shayad geeli ho gayi hogi....isliye nahi aayi."

Daadi nods n says..."nahi nahi aisi koi baat nahi....main toh yuhi jaan na chah rahi thi."

 

Dev smiles n looks at Daadi....n Daadi wasnt sure why Dev was smiling so she asks him with her eyes....Dev still smiling shakes his head n looks down.....Dev didnt understand why his heart was pounding hard everytime his mind repeats the name..."Radhika!!"

Gosh!! an update so soon and such a fabulous one.Thanks for not carrying over the same confusion as in the show. at least Dev knows her name. Lage raho.Nice job!!!

well now he knows her name, cant wait till he gets to know her!!!

Ah, their first meeting ... loved it. It is so romantic, she is playing with Nandu, blindfolded and he sees her. The innocence of Radhika's character, playing with a child, is very aptly described. Their first meeting is much better than the one in the serial.

Another thing I enjoyed were the Dev-Mrinalini exchanges. They are even better than the ones in the serial. 👍🏼
