Highlights : Suguna is a changed woman.
Sumitra and Bhairav try to change Suguna's mind
SUguna comes home from the temple. Maasa asks her where she had been early in the morning. Suguna says she had gone to the temple. She tells Maasa that she didn't go inside but was outside the temple. Maasa reminds her to not enter the temple till the year goes by. Suguna leaves. Maasa tells Sumitra that there was a time when Suguna would not wake up even if you banged on her room door. And now she was awake before everyone, had showered and had gone to the temple. Sumitra feels bad.
Bhagwati and Khajan feel bad for Anandi and her in-laws for all that has happened.
Sumitra gets tea ready for Maasa and Bhairav. Gehna offers to take it to them, but Sumitra refuses. Anandi asks Gehna if she can take tea for Suguna. Gehna agrees. Anandi comes to Suguna with tea. Suguna refuses to drink it. Anandi feels bad for Suguna and wonders how she will live alone in the room. Suguna says she will manage. She requests Anandi to somehow get the mala that Pratap had got her. Anandi says that Daadisa had the mala, but she would try her best to get it from her. Suguna resumes reading Ramayan.
Sumitra talks to Bhairav about Suguna. She tells him to convince Maasa to let Suguna stay in the haveli. Bhairav tells her that he already tried, but nothing happened. She tells him that Maasa too feels bad about Suguna's situation. He makes Sumitra understand that ultimately it didn't matter what Maasa thought. If Suguna is willing to live in the haveli, he would stand up to Maasa all his life. Sumitra and Bhairav leave to talk to Suguna.
Suguna's parents come to her room Sumitra asks Suguna to change her mind. She has no idea what a difficult life she has chosen. Bhairav too tries to convince her that he would stand up to Maasa and his whole village and society if Suguna agrees to stay with them. Sumitra tells Suguna that they too were guilty of getting her married so early. Suguna refuses to come with them. She tells them that she is aware of how much they love her. But they could not change what has happened. They would not have the strength to see her crying all the time. She needs solitude in her life right now and requests her parents to let her stay alone. Suguna's parents feel helpless and hug Suguna sadly.
