Highlights : Anandi and Jagya plan a surprise party
Maasa is upset about the party...Badi jiji enters the haveli
Sumitra tells Anandi to give Jagya breakfast. She tells Anandi that all the adults were going to the temple and will only back in the evening. Anandi happily reports this news to Jagya. The kids plan to buy everything and decorate the house before everyone returns. Anandi goes to Suguna and tells her about the plans. Suguna is happy for daadisa.
Anandi and Jagya go to the market and purchase sweets and samosas. They invite the village people saying Maasa had called them home. In the evening, the children await Daadisa's return, while the guests wonder what is happening.
Daadisa and the others return. Daadisa sees all the arrangements and is shocked. She wonders why all the villagers are home. Anandi and Jagya happily tell everyone that its a surprise party for Daadisa's birthday. This is enough to get Daadisa started. She shouts at the kids saying they had planned this birthday party when it was daadusa's barsi. The village sarpanch tries to tell her that the kids had no idea and to excuse them. All the guests leave. Daadisa as usual keeps shouting this and that. Bhairav tries to calm her down saying the kids had no idea about the barsi. Daadisa says that she dreads her birthday every year since it reminds her of her husband's death. This party has just opened up old wounds. Just then someone calls out to Daadisa to not dwell on sadness, but to embrace any signs of happiness. Everyone turns around to see badi jiji standing at the door.
