Sorry for the late post...had to work really late today
Maasa thinks about what her sister told her about keeping her children happy. She is irritated that everyone is out to advice her and that she knows how to keep her children happy. In the morning, everyone is doing pooja. Suguna stands outside the pooja room. Badi maasi insists that she come in and even give her the arti thali. Suguna is not sure whether to accept or not. She looks at Maasa, who nods her assent. Bhairav and Sumitra are very pleased. Later in the kitchen, Anandi asks Sumitra if Suguna can start cooking too, but Sumitra tells her she is not sure yet.
The men set out on some work. Badi maasi remembers that Maasa makes the best chilli pickles. She forces her to make some for her. Maasa agrees. SUmitra, Anandi, Gehna and badi maasi help her in preparing the pickles. Suguna comes up to the terrace to dry her clothes. She sees the women there and feels bad. Badi maasi then forces Suguna to sit with them and help out. Suguna sits with them not knowing what to do. She even helps Maasa remember her ingredients properly. It seems like Maasa isn't going to say anything to Suguna. Badi maasi makes Maasa laugh out loud by saying something silly. All the other women happily look on.
