Scene continues from Badi maasi telling Basanth to have Gehna learn music. Basanth does not like this and tells her that this was not good culture and Maasa would never agree. Badi maasi tells him that he has to do this to make Gehna happy. Basanth is convinced and goes to Maasa asking her about this. Maasa vehemently refuses. She realises that this is Badi Maasi's doing and tells Basanth to not listen to everything she says. She decides to talk to Badi maasi about advising everyone.
Maasa goes to Badi maasi's room to talk to her. She sees badi maasi talking to Anandi and Jagya regaling them with stories from her childhood and how Maasa was a super fast runner. Maasa observes all this. Badi maasi continues about more stories about Maasa. Maasa used to hate studying and was always playful. Maasa who is listening to all this is kind of happy. She comes in and drives the kids away to go to sleep. After she leaves Anandi tells Badi maasi that she was so unlike her sister. Badi maasi tells her that she will try her best to change Maasa to her old self.
In the morning, Bhairav sits with Maasa and Badi Maasi. Jagya comes there and tells them that he had a kabbaddi match at school. He tells Bhairav that he will take Anandi along. At first Maasa refuses, but Badi maasi and Bhairav convinces her. Maasa tells him to take Suguna along and drop her in the temple and pick her back up again. Badi maasi is happy that Maasa agreed, but Maasa reminds her that she agreed to let Suguna go to the temple and not to enjoy. Jagya drops Suguna at the temple and is about to leave, when Suguna tells the kids that she wants to come to the school with them too. Anandi is hesitant, but Jagya takes Suguna along.
The kabbaddi match begins. It is an inter-school match. Before the match, Jagya reminds Anandi to cheer for him. Anandi conveys this to Phooli and Suguna too. Jagya's school boys don't do very well in the game. The girls egg Jagya to do well and he wins. All the school kids are happy. Suguna gets really involved during the game and cheers along with the other kids.
Jagya comes home and shows off his trophy. Maasa is very happy and keeps praising Jagya. She gives him inaam. Badi maasi tells Maasa to give inaam to Anandi too for cheering Jagya and encouraging him. Maasa brushes it off saying this was not inam worthy and that it was the bheendni's duty to serve her bheend. She drives away Anandi to work in the kitchen. Badi maasi tells Maasa to stop thinking only of her sons and to think about her bheendnis too.
Maasa tells badi maasi that the women in the house had all the clothes and jewellery they need and are happy enough. Badi maasi tells her that this was not enough and that peace of mind. Badi maasi then brings up Gehna's topic and tells her to allow her to learn singing. Maasa doesn't like this and tells her that singing and dancing is not the custom for the women of the house. Bhairav too supports Badi maasi. Badi maasi tells Maasa that she is discriminating between the sons of the house and the women. Maasa tells her that forward thinking is not suitable in her village. Eventually everyone convinces Maasa to agree. Basanth is very happy. Maasa says that the music teacher had to come home and teach and also that Gehna would not sing in front of any man. Everyone is puzzled what to do. Bhairav leaves to arrange for a teacher.
Basanth comes to Gehna and tells her to get ready since her music lessons will be starting in a few mins. He says that the music teacher will be coming home soon. Gehna is surprised that Basanth cares so much. Basanth tells Gehna that all he wants is for her to be happy. Gehna is very pleased to hear this and laughs happily.....
