Highlights : Lata and Durga begin their schooling with Suguna
Gehna and Niranjan come face to face
Vikrant bugs Suguna
In the morning, Suguna, Phooli and Jagya go to school. On the way, Lata and Durga's mothers stop them and request Suguna to take their daughters with her. Suguna, although happy doesn't know what to do. Durga's mother tells her that their husbands had already talked to the principal and enrolled them in school. Suguna is very happy to hear this. All the kids happily go to school.
At home, Gehna begins her music lesson. Just as they begin, Maasa begins to grumble. But then stops when she realises that Niranjan and Gehna are singing a bhajan. She keeps all the money she was carrying on the bed and sits clasping her hands and enjoying the bhajan. Badi maasi who passes by sees this and tells Maasa that Gehna sings very well. Maasa brushes it off saying that bhajan sounds good no matter who sings it. Badi maasi gives up and leaves. Maasa resumes listening. In Gehna's room. the wind makes the curtain fly and it cathes fire from the nearby lamp. Unaware, Gehna and Niranjan continue singing. Anandi sees the fire and runs to get Sumitra (such a dumb kid, she should have gone inside to warn Gehna).
On hearing Anandi shouting, Niranajan opens his eyes and sees the fire. He immediately tears the screen down and holds Gehna's hand to pull her up. Gehna is shocked by this and stands stunned. Niranjan too is shocked seeing Gehna (don't think he knew she was so young) and keeps staring at her, holding her hand. Maasa on seeing smoke runs towards the room yelling for servants to get water. She sees Gehna and Niranjan facing each other, holding hands and is shocked. Gehna realises and frees her hand. Everybody comes in and douses the fire with water. Badi maasi tells that they should get rid of the curtain alltogether. Sumitra takes Gehna inside. Maasa keeps staring at Niranjan.
On the way back from school, Vikrant stops Suguna again. She starts yelling at him again. Lata and Durga who are with Suguna wonder what is happening. Vikrant then starts justifying that he came to talk to Durga and that he thought she was someone else. Suguna is not convinced (IMO very silly scene!) Vikrant then asks her if she has forgiven him yet. Suguna gives no answer and leaves with the girls, warning them to stay away from the boy since he was trouble. Vikrant wonders if Suguna ever smiles.
At home Sumitra feeds Jagya. Anandi comes there and teases him about it. She asks Sumitra to buy her bangles and Sumitra tells her to ask Jagya. After some argument, Jagya leaves with Anandi to buy bangles....
Precap : Jagya tells Basanth that there was a school picnic and he wants to take Anandi and Suguna along. Anandi insists that she won't go without Suguna. Basanth doesn't think Maasa will agree..He sends Badi maasi to convince her. Maasa as usual says no....
