I hope everyone's doing well!!
Well, here I am presenting the ...
This time we're discussing what accounts as inspiration not plagiarism, and what accounts as plagiarism and not inspiration.
According to dictionary.reference.com, plagiarism means "the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work," whereas inspiration means "an animating, quickening, or exalting influence."
We've seen many similar ideas used in various books. Sometimes I wonder if it's really inspiration or plagiarism! Sometimes if you look at the old forgotten books, some of their ideas a simply stolen into the new books. No one notices and it happens.
So, when do you think it goes over the board and become plagiarism?
Do you have any examples of any book and/or other written material that's plagiarized?
How many times can someone be inspired by an idea before it becomes too stale? Can you think of any books that deal with a topic in the same way, and you wonder where is the creativity?
Any additional comments are always welcome!
Enjoy discussing!
