BV - 21st May - Written Update

 

Highlights : Sugna is pregnant.

 

 

The episode starts with the scene it ended yesterday,Shyam has saved Sugna from the bull and their eyelock breaks as Sugna tries to get up.She is unable to and is much in pain because of her injury and so Shyam helps her get up and carries her by lifting her in his arms.Jagiya and Phooli follow.

 

Inside the haveli,dadisa is talking to some helper at the house when Sugna along with Shyam, Jagiya and Phooli enter the house with Sugna crying and somehow dragging herself along the way.Dadisa is shocked to see Sugna in such a state and makes her sit down and questions as to how it all happened.By that time,Badi Maasiji, Sumitra,Gehna and Anandi come to the scene.Shyam answers Dadisa's question saying an out-of-control bull was let out and hence Sugna got injured.Dadisa frets about the incident and instead of focusing on doing Sugna's first aid, she rambles about how she will drag the bull-owner to panchayat and make him pay the price for the injuries of her granddaughter.Badi Massi tells they should treat Sugna.Shyam also seems to be bemused about dadisa's behaviour at this point and offers to call the vaidji and leaves for the same.Dadisa orders to get the bull-owner to meet her.

 

Inside her kothri,Sugna is lying down with Anandi by her side and the vaidji treats her wounds and then goes on to check her pulse.Some realisation dawns upon him and he looks at Sugna with an "unbelievable" expression.Back at the living room, the group of Sumitra, Badi Maasiji, Shyam,Jagiya,Anandi and Phooli are gathered around Dadisa who is reprimanding the bull-owner and lecturing him about his irresponsible ways. The man constantly asks for forgiveness and Dadisa tells him that had her granddaughter's injuries lessened bcos of his apologies then she would have made him rub his nose in her aangan.She isnt ready to forgive him and again talks about taking this matter to the panchayat.In the meantime, vaidji comes to the living room and wants to talk to dadisa so she breaks from the group. Hesitantly,the vaidji asks her what has she decided about Sugna.Dadisa asks him what is there to decide about her.So he asks her if Sugna would continue to stay here or would go to her in-laws place.Dadisa seems amused and tells him that he is here to take care of her wounds and not involve himself in family matters.

 

Then vaidji and dadisa talk in whispers(the scene is mute for the audience) and suddenly dadisa is utterly shocked over whatever the vaidji told her. Meanwhile the bull-owner is explaining his stand. Dadisa seems distracted by it and again asks the vaidji about what he was saying.Vaidji answers that what he told her was indeed true and there was no doubt abt it.In the background, with the bull-owner still explaining his stand and Shyam telling him that it could be serious and fatal also...Dadisa seems too annoyed with all this commotion and cannot take it any longer.She screams at everyone to stop the talks and asks everyone who doesnt belong to the haveli to leave from there.Everyone including Phooli leaves but Shyam is too stunned to leave immediately and dadisa shouts at him before he makes his way out of the haveli.Dadisa then warns vaidji that this news shouldnt be leaked anywhere and in case it does then it will be generations of enmity between their household and the vaidji's family.Vaidji agrees to not letting the news out to anyone and leaves.

 

Everyone gathers around dadisa and maasiji asks her why she is so angry.Sumitra is about to go to to Sugna but dadisa stops her and asks Anandi and Jagdish to go to their room and not come out from there.Everyone is waiting in anticiaption to know what is wrong when Dadisa screams Sugna's name and holds her head in her hands.Sumitra is especially stunned and hearing dadisa screaming her name,Sugna gets up in her kothri. With much pain she manages to walk,reaches the room and stands opposite dadisa.Dadisa slaps Sugna hard in the face calling her "ku-lakshini" . Sugna falls down. Sumitra and gehna support her and maasiji restricts dadisa who seems uncontrollable.She talks about how Sugna had let down the pride of the family.Sumitra questions Dadisa as to what had her daughter done.Dadisa says she would have given poison to Sugna had she not been Sumitra's daughter.Maasiji keeps asking as to what had Sugna done.Finally dadisa reveals that Sugna is pregnant.Everyone around is shocked with this news.Sugna is equally shocked.

 

Dadisa asks Sugna whos child it is and again talks about Sugna destroying the familys pride and honour.Dadisa starts getting violent again and tries to hit Sugna and she has to be restricted.Maasiji asks Sugna to speak about it as its a big kalank on the family and says that the father of the baby would be equally responsible.Sugna has to be coaxed to talk before she finally tells them that it is Pratap's child. Gehna remmebers old times when she had asked Sugna to promise that she will not meet Pratap before her gauna.Dadisa gets angry and tells everyone that they all keep telling her about new zamana,new thoughts etc and now they should see for themselves how it has brought shame to them.She is angry and crying and tensed.Maasiji helps Sugna to get up and dadisa snaps at Sugna asking her to go to her kothri and orders her not to come out of that place.Sugna leaves.Sumitra seems unresponsive as shes extremely shocked and gehna consoles her.

On the other side,Anandi and Jagdish are in their room with jagiya doing his schoolwork and anandi keenly trying to listening to the conversation outside with her ears hard-pressed to the door.She asks jagiya to come and try to listen if he could hear anything as she was unable to despite trying since long.Jagiya is uninterested and tells he has more important work from his school.Also he tells Anandi that if dadisa is angry then its not a new thing.Anandi says that she feels its something really serious this time.

 

Here,dadisa sadly talks of how they were unaware of Sugna meeting Pratap and blames themselves for giving in to every whim and fancy of Sugna cos of their love for her.And says that Sugna took wrong advantage of their love and freedom.Everyone is sobbing.Maasiji seems aware of both Sumitra's as well as Dadisa's condition.

Precap:
Dadisa is bringing Anandi down the stairs forcefully with Jagiya following them.Anandi keeps asking as to what has she done.She is pushed to the floor by dadisa who gets mad at Anandi and asks her to stop talking.Dadisa says anandi has done such a big mistake and yet has the guts to talk,she goes and gets a big stick and charges on Anandi to hit her with the stick.Anandi is scared.Dadisa seems really mad at Anandi.

not sure if her in-laws will accept her story..

But the worst fear has now come true..God knows what is in store for Sugna now!!!
