Highlights : Maasa takes a drastic decision regarding Suguna
Suguna gets closer to her child
Maasa, Basanth and Suguna look shocked at Shyam. Madan Singh explains that Shyam had studied in some city and was very bright. Suguna goes inside. Anandi comes with tea and is happy to see Shyam, bugging him to teach her and Jagya computers. Shyam begins to explain his irrigation plan to Maasa and Basanth.
At night, Suguna talks to Pratap, telling him how she is happy that she now has her child which will serve as Pratap's memory. She promises to take good care of the child and never let him/her go. On the other side, Maasa calls Bhairav and tells him that she plans to give away Suguna's child after birth. Her plan is to send Suguna away during her last trimester to Bhiku's village. She offers Bhairav to go with his daughter if he wants. Once the child is born, Suguna would return to the haveli. She would give away the child to someone and ensure that he/she is brought up adequately with all facilities, but none of the family members will know where the child is. Suguna is to be told that her child died at birth.
Bhairav doesn't like this idea and tells so to Maasa. Maasa is annoyed and tells him that she won't support Suguna keeping her child and the society questioning the family. She vehemently refuses to let Suguna give birth in the haveli and risk the village knowing everything. She threatens that if Bhairav resists this option, he will see Maasa's dead body. In their room, Bhairav and Suguna wonder what will happen to Suguna and how she will survive the fake news of her baby's death. She had already suffered enough. Bhairav again reiterates that he is equally at fault in Suguna's mistake, since he supported child marriage. Sumitra pacifies him and tells him that they can think about this when the time comes. Suguna in the meantime, talks to her unborn child, tellling it to sleep.
In the morning, everyone is doing pooja. Shyam comes there with some blue prints of his plan. He stands behind Suguna, who is surprised. On seeing Shyam, Basanth takes him to the living room. Maasa yells at Suguna for standing there in front of Shyam and tells her to stay in her room when guests come to the haveli. Gehna looks on sadly...
