Highlights : Maasa doesn't want a grand wedding
Shyam convinces his parents for a civil court wedding
Madan Singh keeps talking to everyone about how grand the wedding will be. Maasa looks ill-at-ease and tries to tell Madan Singh to keep it simple. Madan Singh tells Maasa that he will expect no simplicity in Shyam's wedding. It has to be grand with all villagers and his relatives. Basanth and Bhairav are confused with Maasa's desperation.
The priest sets the wedding date, which is only a few days away. The families begin to plan for the wedding, Maasa is still upset and asks her sons to come aside to talk to her. She then tells Basanth, Bhairav and Sumitra that they cannot have Suguna take pheras with Shyam when she is pregnant according to customs. Bhairav and Basanth wonder how they can convince Madan Singh to avoid this. Maasa calls Madan Singh to discuss something important. He agrees to join them after sending off his relatives.
Shyam takes Maasa and co. to a room and ask them what is happening. Maasa then tells him that Suguna cannot take pheras with him when she is pregnant. In case Suguna's child is female, the child will end up taking pheras with its mother, which is not acceptable. Everyone wonder how to get out of this situation. Maasa wonders why Madan Singh is insisting on such a grand wedding when he knows customs surrounding pregnant women. Shyam looks guilty. He convinces Maasa to not tell Madan Singh anything since he will get upset. He promises to convince his parents for a simple court marriage.
Later Shyam explains to his parents that he wants a court marriage since he does not want to make Suguna upset by brining up memories of her first gauna by having a lavish wedding. Madan Singh realises that Suguna does not love Shyam and that its one-sided. Finally Radha convinces Madan Singh to go along with Shyam's wishes. Madan Singh leaves frustrated, after telling Shyam that if he is already siding Suguna now, wonder what will happen after the wedding. Shyam silently apologises to his parents in his mind, telling them sorry for hurting their feelings and quashing their hopes. He also apologises for hiding a big truth about Suguna from them....
Message : The roots of lies are weak. Will it be able to withstand the future events and tests?
