Highlights : Khajan wants to die.
Jagya is in more trouble at school.
Maasa is faced with a dilemma.
Scene continues from Khajan Singh running towards a well. Bhago runs behind him, shouting at him to stop. Just as Khajan is about to jump into the well, Bhago pulls him back and yells and pleads at him to not do anything to himself. Khajan starts crying that they have lost everything. He apologises to Bhago for always subjecting her to a life of misery and poverty. Bhago consoles Khajan and takes him home.
At school, the principal examines the class attendance book and demands to know from the new teacher how come Jagya is marked as present everyday when he never attended classes. The new teacher comes up with excuses, which the principal does not believe. He then tries to blame it on Jagya saying he was threatened. The principal does not believe that too. He is about to fire the teacher, who pleads with him that he has a family to take care of. The principal warns him sternly. He makes him write a confession letter for future use and lets him go. The teacher then angrily goes in search of Jagya. He finds Jagya and yells at him for landing him in trouble. He tells Jagya that even if he pays him Rs. 20,000, nothing will happen now. He will ensure that Jagya fails in every subject. Jagya gets scared.
In the haveli, Bhairav receives a letter from Badi maasiji who is facing some litigation issues. Maasa tells Bhairav to go to Calcutta to help her out. Bhairav agrees. MS and bro come there asking back all the land papers from the irrigation project. Basanth yells at them. Shyam tells MS not to pull out since Maasa had invested money in the project.Maasa stops Shyam. She agrees to return all papers. MS tells her to send a bill of her expenses and he will pay her everything. After he leaves, Maasa tells Basanth to return papers and not ask for any money back.
Khajan and Bhago sit dejected. Govind comes there and tells them that he has some information about Mahavir Singh. He happens to be closely related to Maasa. He suggests that they should request Maasa to convince him Mahavir Singh.
Bhairav gets ready to leave. Everyone tells him to come back soon. Bhairav asks Basanth to look after everyone and not to lose his cool. After he leaves, Khajan and Bhago come to the haveli with Govind. They narrate the whole story to everyone. Maasa readily agrees to help them and then asks them who the sethji is. Khajan says its Mahavir Singh and that he is related to Maasa. On hearing the name, Maasa is stumped. She controls her emotions and says nothing. Basanth is about to say something when Maasa stops him and says she doesn't know any Mahavir Singh.
Maasa also tells that she is not related to Mahavir Singh. Basanth and Sumitra are shocked to hear this. She tells Khajan and Bhago to give up hopes of the land and not to got beg with Mahavir Singh. Everyone is shocked. Basanth tries to say something, Maasa signs him to stop and leaves angrily, visibly upset. Govind tells Basanth that he is certain that they are related to Mahavir Singh. Bhago falls at Basanth's feet and asks him to help them. Basanth goes to talk to Maasa. Gehna asks Sumitra who Mahavir Singh is. Sumitra says she has no idea.
Basanth goes to Maasa who is crying. She asks him not to try to change her mind. Basanth says that he has never seen her so upset. He asks her why she lied that she is not related to MS2. She needn't deal with him. Basanth can talk to MS2 and get Khajan's land back. It was a matter of their livelihood.Maasa says she doesn't care. Basanth refuses to believe she could be that cold-hearted. He insists that he wants to know why Maasa is upset with MS2. Maasa threatens to kill herself if he asks again. As Basanth is leaving, she warns him to not tell anyone who MS2 is.
Down in the hall, Sumitra consoles Bhago to trust Basanth. Basanth comes down very sadly. He says he is unable to help Khajan and Bhago. He says he will give them any amt. of money to buy back their land, but he can't come with them. Bhago starts weeping even more. Anandi pleads with Basanth to help her parents. Gehna asks Basanth to go with Khajan even if they are not related to MS2. Basanth feels helpless. He starts to cry and says he can't help them and leaves sadly. Khajan takes an inconsolable Bhago with him and leaves, apologizing for any inconvenience.
Message : A farmer feels the same way about his land as a child does for its mother. No one would like to lose their mother.
Precap : Anandi cries and tells Shyam everything. She pleads with him to talk to Maasa and convince her to help her parents. Shyam agrees.
