Muththarasi calls for Ila & shouts that Collector is safe ... Kulasekaran (Kula) gets shocked .. Ila throws the cooking spoon on her hand in anger .. Mutharasi hits her chin & asks where she'll keep her face now ... Kula joins them .. Muththa proudly says , Collector is safe .. only good things will happen for good people ..  And adds the reason for him being alive is Ganga's good thoughts .. Further warns Kula & Ila to stay away from Ganga ... Also says they'll be mad one fine day , if they keep continuing their misdeeds .. Ila intervenes & says she told so practically .. And adds only mutharasi & Jc will become bad , as they keep singing Ganga's praise ... Mutharasi says she has no time to argue with them & leaves to Subbu's home to meet Ayya , Ganga ... Ila feels bad as her thagaudu plan failed .. Also worries that her Ayya's money Rs.10000 is lost 😡 .... Ila pulambifies some more , as everyone will praise Ganga now ... Also vows she'll not spare Ganga & decides to do things herself , hereafter ... Kula too feels bad as something which he didn't expect has happened ....


SKannan reaches home with his parents , Ayya & Ganga ... Karpagam takes aarathi for SKannan & takes him in ... SKannan thanks Ayya for being there in the spot ... Ayya replies they were shattered with the news .. And if something bad had happened , they'll be the most affected ... SK apologizes for saying so .. Ayya further praises Ganga , as only her prayers brought SK back to them ... SK acknowledges .. Rathna too says it's only Ganga's luck which brought SK back to them .. Karpagam offers meal .. Ayya denies & leaves with Ganga ....


Ayya and Ganga reach home ... Natchiyar runs to Ganga & says she was pretty sure nothing bad will happen  to her ... Adds she wouldn't be able to bear if something really had had happened .. Turns to Ayya & asks if he got very scared .. Ayya replies even he lost hope at one point , but Ganga was sure that SK will be alive ... Further enquires abt ladies at home .. Natchiyar says they were scared & only JC comforted them .. Ayya , Ganga are pleased to hear that ... JC says he too was pretty sure that collector will be safe .. Natchiyar tells that Subbu was crying all the day .. Everyone starts to comfort her ... Subbu asks Ganga , what sin she did .. and why she suffers a lot .. Natchiyar replies Ganga has only done punyam & only that has saved SK from cauveri river ... Muththarasi expresses her happiness and comforts Subbu ... Also tells Ganga that SK is her husband and none can change this .. Ganga is happy and feels shy .. Mutharasi asks why didn't SK swim .. Ayya replies he has inquired abt it & keeps a fullstop to the issue .. invites everyone for meal .. Muththarasi says she'll go home .. also calls JC to home .. Charu replies JC will be there even after Ganga's marriage .. Mutharasi says JC is her only son .. Charu replies to have another son then ...


Ila and Mangai in backyard .. Ila scolds her as the thagadu didn't work .. Doubts if she gave her a fake one .. Mangai denies & claims herself innocent .. Ila says she wants to get back her money from magician ... Also adds to return the thagadu to him ... JC comes behind her , shouting her name .. Both ladies panics .. JC shows them a thagadu and asks if this is the one ... Ladies are shocked ...


JC adds he has chased the magician out of town .. Ila warns him to stay away from her plans .. JC chides her for stooping so low .. Also says he still has affection on her .. Ila shuts him & says he is roshakaari .. And will never side Subbu's family .. And vows to chase Subbu's family from aayakudi ... Further tells JC to support her if he really has some affection for her .. JC scolds her for having such bad thoughts .. Also says Subbu used to pray for Ila too .. Ila replies ayya is only for them & so as his money .. JC tells her to fight with Ayya directly & not to do such cheap acts .. Also chides mangai for helping Ila ... JC becomes emotional & says he is her own brother .. but she never treats him so ... he is the only thaai maaman to her kids .. he has to do everything right from ear piercing to marriage , if she gets a girl baby .. Ila seems to think 😲😲 .. Looks down in guilt .. JC continues to point his mom - Ayya's lovely brother - sister relationship .. Further says , she has to put kodi cloth , if he is dead .. And leaves the arena , asking if she would .. Ila cries and feels bad .. Mangai comforts her ...


Karthik , Sara & Kula in a terrace ... Nephews question their uncle abt half done job - to kill collector ... Kula says it's his turn to listen .. Also admits his plan failed ... Karthik worries , as police might file a case & find them ... Kula replies not to panic , as none will witness against them ... Also tells to think what next ... Karthik replies , Ganga - SK wedding will happen smoothly .. Then other sisters too will get a IPS , judge grooms .. Then Subbu family will become a big shot ... And they will be forced to serve them ... Kula interrupts him & says he'll not let Ganga wedding happen ... Still there are many ways & they have time till SK ties the knot .. He'll keep trying till then .. Even if nothing works out , Either Ganga or SK will die in the last minute ... Saying so , Kula leaves the shocked brother's alone ...

FRIDAY'S UPDATES

Collector's mom says she'll stop the wedding. She leaves. Ila is super happy. She praises the gods in the temple and says all her prayers are fulfilled. She breaks another coconut for the saamy.

Collector's amma is at home. She thinks about her son saying that 4 people pulled him underwater and tried to drown him. She also remembers Ila telling how there is a rumor that Ayya's sontham were the ones who did that. She seems to be thinking for quite some time before she gets up.

It's already night time. Collector's mom walks up to her husband and says she wants to meet Ayya now. Her husband asks her why she wants to meet him at this time. Collector's mom says it is very urgent and she cannot delay. She wants to go to Ganga's house and tell Ayya that they aren't intersted in the wedding anymore. Sk's dad says kalyanam is not a game; we cannot just say no as and when we wish.

Sk's mom says her son's life is more important than anything else. Even if Ayya is a good guy, his relatives have already tried to kill her son once. They might even try again. Sk's dad says she has no proof but Sk's mom says that Ayya's sontham only told her about the rumor. Sk's dad tries his best to convinvce his wife not to stop the wedding but fails.

Sk's dad says Selvakannan won't approve of her decision. Sk's amma says she will go to Ayya and tell him everything and stop the wedding before informing her son. Sk's dad again tries to stop her by saying that he and Ayya are good friends and he doesn't want to spoilt their 40 year friendship. Collector's mom again says her son is important. She says is we explain everything and I tell him about my concerns, he will understand. Sk's dad doesn't agree with her decision but says he will go with her to Ayya's house because he understands her paasam for her son.

Next day morning, JC walks in to Ganga's house with a panthakaal kombu- dunno how to translate this, sorry.  Ayya and Subbu welcome him and Ganga offers him a drink. Sk's mom and dad walk in then. Everyone greets them happily. Ayya talks happily about the wedding and how JC is helping so much. Ayya jokingly says if left to JC, he will speed up all preparation and conduct the wedding asap. Ayya notices how Sk's parents don't seem to be talking much and they seem quite upset. He asks them what is wrong.

Sk's mom says that even though Ayya might be thinking of speeding up the wedding date, the two of them are wondering whether or not to let their son marry Ganga. Ayya can't believe what he's hearing; he asks Sk's mom to explain herself. Everyone else- Charu, JC, Subbu and Ganga- looks shocked and upset. Sk's mom says directly that her son's life was in danger becuase of Ayya's relatives so she doesn't want the wedding taking place. Ayya gets upset. He says that kalyanma is not a game. How can they say they're not intersted after the invitations are sent out! He says he wont let them leave till they give a full explanation.

Sk's mom tells that her son didn't drown by accident. 4 people tried to pull him underwater and kill him. Ganga's family is shocked. Subbu asks if that is reallly the truth? Sk's mom says that if they dont believe her, they can call up her son. She is just repeating what he told them. JC gets very angry. He says all of them are making up stories because they probably found a better alliance for the collector. JC says that the wedding must take place and if it doesn't, he won't even care that they are the collector's parents.

Ayya yells out JC's name. JC stops threatening the collector's parents. JC says that he has changed into a good person only because of Ganga and he doesn't want anything bad happening to her. Ganga looks at JC and thenloos away. Sk's mom says that as Sk's parents, both of them are very upset with what is happening. She asks Ayya why JC is talking like that to them when both of them are equally upset. Ayya says he believes them and that what happened to the Collector is a very serious issue. He says they can investigate this but he doesn't see what Ayya's murder attempt has to do with the wedding. Ayya asks why the wedding needs to be stopped.

Sk's mom says her son has escaped one murder attempt. She believes that Ayya's sontham don't like her son marrying Ganga and want to stop the wedding. They cannot show their anger to Ayya so they are targetting her son. Sk's mom pleads that if the wedding isn't stop, her son's life might be lost. All are shocked, especially Ganga.

JC says that Sk is a collector. He will have surely recieved death threats from other people too. All the samuka virothikal would also target the collector. JC says that it is possible that other groups are responsible for Collector's murder attempt. How can they blame jsut Ayya's sontham when there are so many other people who can be responsible? Ganga looks like she agrees with her maama. So, JC says he cannot accept that they are stopping the wedding for this reason. Subbu agrees with JC. She tells Sk's parents not to worry because theya re all there. She says Ayya will make sure nothing happens to Sk because he has the selvaaku to protect the whole town.

Sk's mom says that that is not enough. Even though Ayya has selvaaku, that has not stopped people from attempting to kill his future son-in-law. She asks in future, after the marriage, what if something like this happens again? Ganga looks upset.

Ayya tells Sk's parents that they can leave (Amma, neenga pogalaam). He says he wanted to marry Ganga into their family so that she will be happy there. However, they feel that Ganga will bring danger to their only son. So, he says he doesn't want to have the wedding anymore. The moment they lost their trust in Ayya's family, he too decided that he will not let his daughter marry their son. (Eppa ongalluku enga mela ava-nambikai vanthudu-ccho, appa-vay naan mudivu pannittaen. En ponna unga payyanukku kudukallai-nnu.)

Subbu tells Ayya to calm down. She says that the wedding invitation have gone out and that there are only a few days left. They can't stop the wedding now without losing face. Charu puts in her two cents worth. She tells them to please trust in Ayya and that he wilkl protect their son. JC again appeals to them. Ayya tells them again to leave politely. Ayya says that his daughter is like sokka thangam. He will only give her away to people who will treat her like a pokkisham, like a treaure.

Sk's dad tries to tell the Collector not to be angry with them. Ayya doesn't say anything in response. JC pleads with SK's dad. JC says that he will protect the collector and he will make sure nothing happens. JC tells them to please not stop the wedding. He tries to fall at their feet but Ayya stops him.

Ayya tells Sk's parent s to leave once again. They do so. JC, Charu and Subbu are upset. Ayya tells JC that he doesn't need to fall at their feet for Ganga's wedding to take place.  (Nee yaaru kalulayum vizunthu Ganga kalyanattha nadattha vendiya avasiyam illai!) Ayya proudly says again that his daughter is sokka thongam...
