Thavasi is still veppilai adichifying for Thaalaiamma. Tells her that Aavudai
has been taking money from Chellamma Bhavan - " Chellamma gives
him lots of money at regualr intervals !!! Now that the hotel has been given
to Vadai , how can Aavudai take money with out asking him?? And how
can Chellamma give him when Vadai is not around??? I probed and probed..
finally learnt that Aavudai is taking the money to bail out Beach !!!"Now,
Thaalai is condescending - "avasara selavu nnu thaane eduthaanga??
yen perisu pannanum??" Thavasi , the Saguni/Kooni incarnation has
a ready reply " the same urgency was there when Sundu had to be
bailed out !!!! RK asked for 15 Lakhs bribe to set free Sundu !!! For your
son, the hotel money can not be used but if it is Beach, Omni will coolly
donate that money??" Thaalai is confused ( 5 paisa thirudina thappa??? -
thappillai mathiri theriyuthu ..5 5 paisa vaa 50 tharam thirudinaa thappa???
Thappu mathiri theriyuthu -Roja recalls Anniyan dialog 😳) Thavasi now knows
that the skillet is real hot - Dosai or Omlette pOda sariyaana heat - tells
Thaalai " un annan un vishayathile kanakku pakkaraan " Thalai is still not
ready to accept that her annan is a villain " ethukku anne perisu panringa??
vittu dunga" Thavasi says that he is guilty " I forced you to get Amutha married

Maru veedu koopida ponavangalai Bell insult panni anuppittaname??" Now
Thalai is in drizzle mode - idiyO , idiyudan koodiya mazhaiyO, idi illaamal
heavy downpour O ..on the way - Roja the weatherwoman predicts - Thavasi
wants rain and so Silver Iodide sprinkling happens " you are upset for this news???
How would u feel if you know that all this is done by your arumai annan??"
Thaali goes to shower mode. Thavasi goes on " Aavudai believes that it
is Amutha's ill-luck that sent Beach to prison. He is planning to send Amutha
back to you as vazha vetti... he has gone to consult Selaiyur josiyar !!" Thaalai
is now in storm mode - cries heavily and says that she sent her daughter
there to live happily "not to be sent back as Vazha vetti" Thavasi throws the
last straw on the camel's back "appO udane pO , unga annan collar ai pidichi
un ponnukku enna vazhi nnu kelu" Thalai express is already half way to
Selaiyur. Thavasi has a satisfied, wicked grin.

Aavudai is coming in an auto - to the josiyar's place. Josiyar is in a hurry, he is
going out somewhere. Aavudai says that he is very upset and so if the josiyar
can look at the horoscopes , he might get some peace of mind. Josiyar agrees.
First it is Beach - josiyar asks " after the thaali kattal, was there any mishap??"
Aavudai says that Beach was taken for kambi counting as soon as Bell tied the
thaali. Josiyar says that Amutha is destined to bring disgrace to Aavudai clan.
Aavudai says that the josiyar should have told this before the wedding " then I
would not have allowed this marriage " Josiyar says that Aavudai would not
have believed if he said any thing before the wedding. Aavudai asks for some
parikaarams and Josiyar says that there are only 2 options -" can you denounce
your son Bell and say that he is not your son any more?" Aavudai says that he
can not do that. Now josiyar says " apdinna , ore option thaan. Ippo unga Bell kku
kalyaanam panni vaichingale, antha ponnai athu vidanum, send her away, that
is the only solution, say what??? Just as this is being spelt to Aavudai, Thaalai
arrives - hears the whole thing and waits for Aavudai's answer. Aavudai says
"yosichu solrenga ayya " Thaalai is angry /upset/ shocked - goes and perches herself
comfortably - waits for Aavudai to come out.

Aavudai comes out and does not notice Thaalai. Thaalai shouts "anne" - Aavudai wants
to know "eppo mma vanthe??" Thaalia does ammanO saamiyO - shouts at Aavudai
that he is the reason for all the drama " your sons and DILs are just voicing your
thoughts" Aavudai tries to reason out but Thaalai is all set to play Soorpanagai.
Heated arguments and finally Thaalai says " raasi illatha va nnu nee en ponnai thiruppi
anuppicha, adutha nimisham un ponnai malattu sirukki nnu solli un veetukku
thiruppi anuppiduven ( disgusting dialog - Roja has no patience to go in to details )
Aavudai slaps Thaalai, his wrist watch falls down - Josiyar watches the drama
and so does Kavitha's other brother - the lanja pisasu ( guess Thaalai will be
murdered by him and the blame will fall on Aavudai ) Aavudai says that Thaalai
has exceeded her limits " u say another word about my Omni, I will kill you.
Annan - thangai uravu has gone with the wind. Yen moonjile muzhikkathe" -
leaves. Thaalai does some more parambalaattam and finally says that she need
not dole out any curse " your action will ruin your family... inimel, you will never
see me " ( sure bet - Thaalai kku sangu , next week ) Kavi's brother takes the
wrist watch - using a kerchief... Thaalai sits on the sand and cries "paavi
Chellamma, yen kudumbathai azhichittale... vu vu vu..."

Starts with maniac Amutha entering the first night room with
milk in hand ( Paalum pazhamum kaigalil yenthi kirukku mugathil
smile onru purinthu - BG by Roja) Bell is morose but Amutha has
this "never say die" look. Gives milk to Bell and he ignores it big
time. Amutha says that she forgot that Bell does not like milk and
then falls at his feet. Bell does not acknowledge that and so Amutha
says " kalile vizhuntha wife ai purushan thookki vidanum" - no reaction
from Bell and so Amutha gets up by herself and starts blabbering -
"though I have known you for a long time, today I feel as if I am waiting
outside an exam hall ... very nervous.." Bell slaps her - palaarrrrrr -
much needed one but such violence is unacceptable. Bell tells her that
the reason he married her is for the happiness of both the families- " I
did not marry you out of love. When my family is suffering, you expect'
me to cootchi coo?? You are plain bad luck for us ..and as soon as u
enter this house, you fight with anni??" Now Amutha is back to being a
crazy dumbo ..says " I do not care about others but care about your
opinion of me. Just because your bro went to kambi counting, we should
not spoil our lives !!" Bell says that he has no life when his family is suffering -
" let all the problems get sorted out.. let the happiness of my family come
back... then we can think of all this" Amutha can do nothing about this now ..

Thavasi with Aavudai - starts his veppilai manthiram. Tells Aavudai that his
sister Thalaiamma does not love / respect him like before " she is more
interested in her children getting all the money." Aavudai says that he will
not tolerate any one talking ill of his sister. Thavasi goes on to say that
Aavudai is blind to Thalai's faults - "paasam kannai maraikkuthu unakku.
But be practical. When I was trying to convince her for Bell/Amutha
marriage, she accepted only because Bell has a major share in the hotel
business. Now she has 2 portions. She wants to destroy Beach and Garden
- so she can get the other 2 parts as well. Her son is the reason for Beach's
kambi counting!! And, now u are sad with all this turn of events but she did
not come and share your grief !!! All i am saying is keep an eye on her.."
Does the usual "your happiness is my life" bit and leaves. Aavudai is thinking.

Next morning Garden comes to dad and says that they need to borrow
money to bail out Beach -" just one day of Beach being away.. we need
to borrow !!! And athai... she never even called or visited to ask about us !!!
Only at times like this u know the real intention of people." Aavudai chokes
and Garden calls out "anni, appa kku thanni" Amutha runs and comes with
a smiling face - with water in hand and so does a sad looking Pearl. Aavudai
takes the water from Pearl. Amutha looks disappointed. Just then Omni, Kalai
and Azagu come with poo, pazham plates - looking generally happy. Omni
sees that her dad cold shouldered Amutha and makes up " he drinks only
hot water.. ok, wont u give us some water?" Amutha happily hands over
the water and Kalai gloats " ahh plain water.... tastes like sugar syrup..ellam
enga Amutha kai raasi" Pearl can not stand this gloating and immediately
puts Kalai in her place -" un thangai raasi thaan nalla theriyuthe... kazhuthile
thaali yerina odane intha veettu pillar ai police pidichitti pochu. Un annan
thaane ithukku kaaranam, dont gloat.." well, words get exchanged ..in fact
a heated exchange.. the menfolk are just watching ... Kalai and Aazhagu
go over board defending Amutha..Omni shouts .." stop all of u..will ya?"

Omni shouts at whoever cares to listen "stop this vetti talk, will ya??" and then goes on
to say that if every one talks through their hats and make a big issue, the newly weds
can not be happy. That triggers the anger in Pearl "vaadi amma, vaaa, enge da innum
naattamai yai kanume nnu parthen. Inge yen life kku olai vaichuttu, un nathanaar
santhoshama irukkanum nnu maru veedu azaikka vanthuttiyaa?? If I had an younger
brother and if some thing like this happened on his wedding day, antha urave vendam
nnu athu vittu vanthiruppen" (athu vittu tu means denounce that relationship?? ) While
the Aavudai clan members look stoic, the Omni clan members look shocked. Amutha
must have felt that she has kept quiet for too long and so pulls out her thaali, shows it
to all who care to see and says "enge, athu vidunga, paarppom" ( oh, so athu vidarathu
is snapping some thing??) Kalai jumps now and asks " the marriage is just a day
old and u talk as if you are all fed up with it?? " Anyways to cut a long story short ,
the reason for the visit is at last spelt in black and white - Omni asks all to shut up
and asks Bell to stand near Amutha and accept the plates. Bell asks " why should I??
I am not the SIL of that rotton house" Now Kalai wants to know if the other 2 SIL s are
logs of wood. Bell says that he does not care about who they are but he will never
step in to that house which houses nothing but enemies of Aavudai clan. Again heated
exchange of words and Omni goes to Bell saying that all that is expected of him is an
appearance in that house. Bell says "no way and not just me, athO ange nikkarale
ava kooda should not go. Let them forget that they have a daughter like this. Since
all of you forced me to marry her, I just play hubby to her, never a SIL to that kedu
ketta house" Omni appeals to dad who says that Bell is upset about Beach and talks
like this " I have nothing to say in this" Omni is shocked but appeals to Bell again
" yen mele nee pannina sathiyathukku ithu thaana value?" Bell says "that sathyam
is the reason for my soft behaviour now. But for that, it would have been a
Gurukshthram" Kalai and Azaghu shout at Garden and Aavudai for allowing Bell
to talk all this. Omni asks Amutha to advise her hubby and Amutha says that
whenever Bell condescends to visit her parental home , she will come with
him -" now, please leave" Kalai wants to leave but Omni wants to make a last
attempt. Now Kalai lets the cat out of the bag " aama anni, neenga porumaiya
irunthu counsel pannunga - considering the fact that it is you who put Sundarm
in Beach's custody , brought him to the wedding and the sole reason behind all
this confusion" ( neela saayam veluthu pocchh dum dum dum Omni kuttu odainji
pocchh dum dum dum - BG by Roja) The whole Aavudai clan is shocked Pearl's
eyes are popping out of their sockets... Omni looks sheepish.... Azaghu and Kalai leave.....

Excellent acting by Pearl - advances to Omni and asks her " So, u
are the one who linked that 7 1/2 with my unsuspecting hubby???"
Omni says "yes" and Pearl is livid "pray why ?? how can u ask my
hubby to house a wanted criminal?" Now Aavudai says that Omni took the
liberty with her brother " dont say any thing more" - Pearl can't care less -
goes to her FIL and says " using this same sentiment, you gave her Chellama
Bhavan, did I ask any thing?? And the same way , u got Bell to marry Amutha,
did I ask any thing?? Now, it is my hubby's honor and life at stake, how can I keep
quiet?" Goes to Omni and slaps her with words " you, your hubby, your BIL, your
SIL ellarum nalla irukkanum, athukkaga you will sacrifice your parental home
and brothers?? intha mathiri paasam nnu oru vesham pottu annan thambi
vazhkaiyai kedukkara sister ai naan paarthathe illai" Omni gets all emotional and
says that no one knows the anna - thangachi paasam of Omni and Beach. Omni looks
around for support but none is forthcoming. And Garden says that anni's anger is
justified. Pearl finally says that Beach is a fool and does not understand the ulterior
motives of Omni. " I pray for my hubby everyday and want my thaali to stay eternally.
But with a naathanaar like you , who cares a tuppence for her brother and his family,
I am not sure if my prayers will be answered or my thaali will be safe. Enough is
enough - enough of your fooling my hubby in the name of paasam, let me have my
hubby and let my children have their father" - cries ..The Aavudai clan keeps quiet
and show their support for Pearl ..Omni looks uncertain...

Finally Aavudai calls "Chellamaa" and Omni is angry ( athu sari, unnai naalu
mothal mothaame summa vittangale !!! Unakku anger oru keda??? you are a
selfish idiot) - goes to dad and says that she should not have come when Beach is
not around " I will enter this house again only when annan comes back " storms
out ..Aavudai does another feeble "Chellamma" Bell and Garden look morose. Omni wallllkkkkkssssssss Thalai household - getting ready to welcome the newly weds.
Table is laid, harathi is ready.... Azaghu and Kalai come in with the untouched poo
pazham plates. The household is curious but both Azaghu and Kalai are talking in
riddles - after testing Roja's patience and the patience of the whole clan, the sisters
spill all the news. Bed Room looks guilty ... the rest look upset??? angry??
whateverrrrrr... Omni is still walllkkkiiingggggg......

Monday 21/12/09 - Archives copy

Vadai along with the lawyer comes to meet Beach - soga BG - Vadai tells
arumai macchaan that this kambi counting is temporary -" we will get you
out soon, bail is on the way " Beach says that his only worry now is that
the family members might blow up things and create a permanent rift
in the relationship. Vadai says that Omni would never let that happen.
Beach does chayyng chak "she is my only hope" . Then Beach is told
about the visit to Sundu -" he has agreed to sing the truth in the court.
RK threatened him to do this." Lawyer says "once Sundu sings like a cuckoo,
Beach is out of the whole case. Beach nods and says "umm" - looks like
he is not convinced ( ennathai Sundu cuckoo maari... ennathai lawyer argue
panni, ennathai naan veliye vanthu...hmmm - Beach dialog by Roja)

Wood and Art - Wood says that he is a military man with out uniform - ella
velaiyum time pisagame seyyaravar aam - ippO enna duty??? lunch thaan !!
He has smelt the menu and tells Art that food is ready and time to eat. BR
gets the food to the table. Art says that Wood is a "mOppa specialist" -
" namba Jimmy kku smelling sense poraathu !!" Azaghu's hubby comes saying
"Saamiyeyy Saranam Iyappa" - Wood wants to know the reason and Mr.Beauty
says that he needs a change in life. Wood calls him a fool and says that he should
hold on to Vadai and change his life. Then a house broker comes with a prospective
place for renting. Mr.Azaghu wants a house far away from the present place.
Azaghu wants to know " pray , who is moving out of this house?" Hubby says that
it is high time they moved out. Azaghu says that it is her mother who has to decide -
now starts " Operation Net Spread Search Thaalai" (ONSST)- she is missing , not to be
seen anywhere , even the cupboards are searched - the clan is worried.

Aavudai is pensive - has visions of Thalaai's ammanO saamiyO at the josiyar's
place. The grandkids are playing - running around him - Aavudai shouts at them
and asks them to go out and play. His irritation is obvious and Valli is surprised
that he shouts at grandkids. The phone rings and Avudai shouts at Pearl to pick it up.
Pearl says that it is from the telecom dept "checking" Aavudai asks her to put the
receiver down " eppO paarthaalum nai nai nnu" Pearl does what she is told and Valli
tells Pearl that some thing is not right ( aama, Thalai murder case le Aavudai ulle pOna,
neenga ellarum satchi sollanume, athukku thaan intha over acting !!)

Well, at Vadai's place ONSST is still on ) Omni missing??!!! surprising , ipdi oru
important time le antha amma moonjiyai kaattame irukka maattangale !!! Beauty
calls maama's place to ask about Thalai - but the phone is engaged ( yeah sure)
Beauty keeps trying. Amutha brings some water and gives it to Aavudai - Aavudai
shouts at her "unnai kettenaa?? kondu vanthu en thalai le kottu" Amutha is upset.
Vadai comes home for some thing and he is told that Thalai is missing. He asks his
sisters about calling Aavudai household. He is told that the phone is continuously
engaged - " they are angry with us and so it is possible that they kept the receiver
down??" Vadai says "che che, phone ai yaaranum sariya vaichirukka maattanga,
let me go and check personally" Vadai goes there and asks Aavudai " amma inge
vanthaangalaa?" Aavudai shouts at Vadai " unga amma kkum enakkum
sambhandam illai, ava moonjile muzhikka maatten, ava yen inge varaa??? Yen
pillai jail kku pOi 3 days aachu, neenga yaaranum inge vanthu enna nnu kettingalaa??"
Vadai is confused "na ordinary aa thaane ketten, why are u shouting?" Amutha says
that maama is upset "thappa eduthukkathe anne, ulle vaa" Vadai leaves. Aavudai
has more visions of Thalai telling him " un kooda piranthava sethu pOitta" Pearl tells
Valli " hmmm , yethO puthu villangam varum pole irukku" Valli agrees and asks Pearl
to come along with her "Durgai kku vilakku pOttu ttu varalaam" Pearl says "let my
hubby come back home, then I will come to the temple."....

Monday 28/12/09 - Archive's Copy

Thaalai's post mortem is still not over. While her SILs wait to collect
her, Vadai is making the funeral arrangements. Relatives are coming
in... Vadai's chithappa is in the car - on his way for the funeral. Vadai
calls him cries and says that Thalai's sadangu should be done in full
regalia "neenga thaan pakkathile irunthu ellam seyyanum" Chithappa
agrees. Vadai cries some more.

Aavudai and Beach - historical meeting in the Abacus School - both
meet in the corridor ( hmmm, ella important discussions um nanga
nadu theruvile thaan nadathuvOm , ipdi "in camera" meeting aa pOche -
Aavudai's dialog by Roja) Beach wants to have a total update. Aavudai
tells him about Thalai calling Omni as 'malattu chirukki" and how he slapped
her ( we are shown the monumental watch falling !!! appO Aavudai kku watch
vizhutha thu theriyumaa?? Why did he not pick it up?? or atleast search for it?)
Aavudai is crying and talks about how much he loves his siter and how he
can not even dream of kiling her. Beach asks " does Vadai believe that you
murdered athai?" Aavudai says that it is Vadai who sent him to kambi
counting. Beach senses some foul play " ellam planned appa !!! First Sundu
frames me..now Vadai sends you to keep me company.... avangalai summa
vida koodathu ppa" Goes on to ask "pray, what was Omni's reaction?" Aavudai
pities darling daughter " she is caught between pirantha and puguntha veedu,
what can she say?" Beach is all set to " see one hand" - the whole Vadai family.
Aavudai asks him to be patient - " I did some thing in anger and see where I am
now??? do no do the same mistake and come back here to nurse me ,ok??"
( hmm , avar veliye porathe thiri sangu sorgathile oosaladarathu... neenga ennavO -
Roja mutters ) Aavudai says that truth will prevail ( Mr.Roja happened to be around,
nursing his drink of pineapple juice - quickly quipped - oh yes, truth will prevail.
If u are lucky, in the penultimate episode - Roja gives him an appreciative look, not
bad, you are a fast learner😳) And finally Aavudai says that he has to do one last seer
for his sister - "pirantha veetu kOdi thuni.... athai nee than seyyanum ( hmmm, marupadi
antha kudumbathu kitte maattanumaa?? - Roja for Beach ) Goes on to say that when
Beach goes with that seer , Vadai and Co might become violent and do an archanai
" please be patient and finish that ritual, ok??" Beach has no option but to agree !!!

RK and saguni Thavasi gloating - RK instigates that it is Thavasi's tiruvilaiyaadal -
" 12 years of enmity and you did a grand finale??" Thavasi says that he did not
murder Thalai "she is my odan pirava sagodari, how can I kill her?" RK has a valid
Q " If u feel like this, how would Aavudai kill her?? Logic idikkuthe!!" Thavasi says
that there must be another enemy. RK says that the third enemy might soon join
them " appO unmai therinji pogum" Thavasi laughs and says " nalla kudumbam
aa project panni... how did they manage to create so many enemies?"

Amutha is crying - rest of the clan does not seem to care much. Court - Beach is
granted a bail - with some stipulations - advocate is happy. Beach leaves in his car.
Advocate calls Vadai and gladly relays the news " Vadai , though Sundu sang the
same song, Beach got bail !!! Must be his good time !" ( enna advocate sir, Thalai
news theriyaathaa?? jolly aa sirichu Vadai kitte pesaringa??" ) Vadai is very
unhappy. Thalai is home - RKO ( Round Katti Oppari)happens - relatives walking
in with garlands. Amutha calls Bell to come with her " I was patiently waiting for
you for so long... as my mom's SIL, you should be there, come with me" Bell says
that Beach is on the way home " avar vantha odane avar kitte kettu ttu mudivu
panren" Amutha gets angry "mudivu pannuviyaa??? By now we should be there !!"
Pearl says that such wishes can come only for people with good raasi "unakku intha
aasai ellam vara koodathu" - Vadai veet le oppari is on. Omni is crying ( Rojaaaaa,
unakku karu naakku di !!! entha nerathile Omni pathi apdi oru comment ezhuthiniyO?
Setha veet le cadavar kku close relative aa or the cadavar aa irukkanum nnu!!!
Apdiye nadakkuthu !!) Amutha falls at Pearl's feet and asks her to order Bell "maama
vai en kooda vara sollunga" - onnum velaikki aagalai !!! Thavasi comes with a
garland - sheds crocodile tears - goes in to see Thalai - Art hugs him and cries.....
camera freezes on... uh huh enna yya doubt ungalukku?? Omni face le thaan
(Roja has a smug smile which says athaane paarthen😳)
