Its night time and Preeti is looking at the moon and has flashback of Sumi praising Rishi when he had come on that reception day, Rishi giving flowers to both of them, Sumi and Rishi shaking hands when they met for the second time, and chachi asking her to talk to Sumi. Preeti wipes her tears and smiles a little.
In the morning and Preeti take Sumi near the river across the temple. There she points to a flock of birds flying in the sky and says that they are free birds. They have wings and can fly wherever they want in that open sky. Sumi tells her that Rishi's rishta had come for Preeti'Preeti cuts in between and says that it had but now she is marrying Suryakamal. She tells Sumi that Rishi will keep her happy. Preeti tells Sumi to think about herself and says her to tell yes to the relationship. Sumi hugs Preeti. Preeti goes to tells others about it and wipes her tears as she turns around.
The brides come down and the grooms see them and smile. There is two mandap set. It's time to put the garlands. Surya bents his head and Preeti puts it on him. Here Rishi moves his head backward teasingly. He then brings his head forward and Sumi put the garland on him. The grooms, then, put garlands around their bride's neck. Then sit on the mandap and all the necessary rituals are performed (sindoor, mangalsutra, etc.) They complete their seven "pheras" and take blessing from their elders.
The bride's sisters come and ask money for the groom's shoes. Rishi gives the money. When they ask Suryakamal his brother volunteers to give money but they say that it's a deal between 'jeeju and saali.' Surya's mother scolds them and says that in wedding they give the groom money and not ask him. Everyone is shocked. Sumi's dad comes there and gives the money'.Preeti is heartbroken.
It's farewell (bidaai) time and Sumi is crying while he mom is consoling her. Preeti is hugging her brother and crying. Bhabhi comes there with a bag and says that her brother has made a collection of all her favorite movies. She hands the bag to Suryakamal. Preeti hugs her dad and then her mom. Snehalata wipes her tears and says that god will take proper care of her. Sumi and Preeti hug and then throw the rice behind them and go and sit in their cars. Preeti is crying and Suryakamal gets worried. He gives her his hanky and she wipes her tears. She then realizes its Suryakamal and drops the hanky down. He picks it up, smiles and takes it close to his chest (or heart)
Both the brides are entering their new homes. Rishi's house is big and pretty while Surya's house is small. Preeti remembers her house and her mother's words of how he Surya will keep her happy. She feels dizzy and is about to fall when Surya's sister asks her what happened. The mother complains how her legs became weak as soon as she entered the house. Surya's sis asks if she should put milk in their room to which she says there is no milk in the house as there were so many guests in the house. She tells them to take them to their room. Preeti looks heartbroken.
