Ekta Kapoor loves Kolkata and its people
Ekta Kapoor's heart is in Mumbai but besides that there is one city she immensely loves for its unique reasons - Kolkata. The city's name may start with the letter 'K', but that's drawing conclusions too quickly.
Ekta's next television soap, Tere Liye, has a backdrop of Kolkata. The show features Harshad Chopra (Ali of Left Right Left fame) as the main lead and introduces new face Anupriya Kapoor.

Harshad Chopra and Anupriya Kapoor have been finalised as the lead of Ekta Kapoor's new love saga Tere Liye to be aired on Star Plus. The duo will essay the roles of lovebirds Anurag and Taani in the serial. Harshad was last seen in Balaji Telefilms' Kis Des Mein Hai Dil Mera as Prem. Anupriya is the girl who was chosen as the lead for Ekta's Beytaab Dil Ki Tamanna on Sony but was replaced even before the serial went on air. However, all's well that ends well. Now, it remains to be seen if the Anurag-Tani jodi will recreate the magic of Sujal-Kashish of Kahin Toh Hoga and Anurag-Prerna of Kasauti Zindagi Kay.

Kailash Kher to sing for Balaji's TV series
Balaji telefilms is going to start its new TV serial, Tere Liye. This will be a love story targeting young people.But the interesting thing about this is that popular singer, Kailash Kher will be singing for the soap opera.
This announcement was made by the production house while unveiling the TV series in a very posh Western Hotel.The series will see the very popular actors of TV world, Harshad Chopra and Anupriya acting in the lead roles.Meanwhile, Kailash has been taken as the lead singer since his voice has been able to generate mass appeal. It is in line with the strategy of Balaji which always wants its music to be hot with the masses.

Star and Ekta set to create history
Balaji Telefilms' upcoming show Tere Liye has brought back together Star Plus and the production house after having fallen out.
However, Ekta refused to acknowledge any issue with the channel in past but in between addressing media when she said, "Every relationship goes through ups and downs to know each other's weaknesses," it caught everyone's attention and one of the media person asked her about what was the ups and downs that she talked about. She diplomatically answered saying, "There was no problem as such. It was only that the relationship that we had with Star and Star with us we wanted to go out and try that with others. so we both worked with other production houses and channels."
Now that two are back together, they are looking at creating a history once again

When asked about her tussles with Balaji Telefilms she said, "I had problems with people in the production house, and not with the production house. Now that those people are no more with the Balaji I am again working with them."

Among few who enjoy the crazy female fan following on television, Harshad Chorpa is one name. Unfortunately, the actor has not met one.
Harshad keeps hearing about his popularity among females but what he comes across is not as satisfying as he expects. Strangely, the actor has always come across middle-aged aunties who recognize him and compliment him for his good work.
To add to his misery, when he was in Panchgani recently, a middle-aged woman recognized him and came up to him. Like always the actor received compliment from her for his work but then she abruptly moved on to ask him for the direction to the station which she was unable to place.
As revealed exclusively before on BizAsia.co.uk, 'Tere Liye' will be Balaji Telefilms first show on STAR Plus after more than two years. The new show will mark the return of Ekta Kapoor to the channel after the demises of popular serials like 'Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and 'Kahanni Ghar Ghar Kii'. 'Tere Liye' has been described as "a story of two people bound to each other in childhood, separated by circumstances, and brought together again by the unbreakable bond of love". 'Sabki Laadli Bebo', which currently sits in the 21:00 - 21:30 band will shift to 22:30 from Monday 21st June.
