Patti: thulasi's GM. Only person who loved thulasi in that house. Highly believe in god and pray to god for thulasi's well being and wanted his son to love his daughter. Now she is happy that her prayers are answered.
Muthumanikkam: thulasi's father. First he hated thulasi and he was brainwashed by his 2nd wife and was a puppet in her hand. For his son's(2nd wife son) studies he accepts to give thulasi to an 50yrs oldman (Vellaitham) Now everything changed and he understand thulasi and loves her.
Padma: thulasi's stepmother hates thulasi. She is cunning, selfish, foolish, etc., Tulasi got a chance to study engineering but this was spoiled by her and she wants her son to study and wanted her children to be in good position. She was the one who insisted her husband to agree for thulasi's marriage with Vel. Supports her son very much.
Mohan: MM and Padma son. He also completed his board not good in studies as thulasi by paying money he got a seat in an engineering college. He is exact replica of his mother. Now he joins hand with a drug businessman and that man is going to use him to sell his drugs in college.
Pavithra: MM and padma 2nd daughter. Once she was with padma's side after the drama taken place in thulasi's marriage ie at one condition she was forced to marry Vel (due to the misunderstanding that thulasi ran away from the mandap) that was stopped by thulasi. Now she loves her sister and she is at the good side.
Deepa: thulasi's best friend. she is bold and always stands for herself and for thulasi's side. she had the guts to give a complain to bribery and corruption officers abt Vel as he was bribed and also by that way she can help to stop the marriage between thulasi and Vel. this doesnt worked out well as Vel came under bail. by this process her ambition of studying enginnering was crushed but she is not bothered and accepted to do a nursing course. because of her good character now she also got an engineering seat with the help of her father. deepa was highly loved and encoureged by her father. but her mother wants to do her(deepa) job not to interfier in thulasi's life as it affect deepa's future. deepa has 2 younger sisters.
ThamizArasu (TA): Hero of the show. working in a bank.he is a jovial person and kind hearted man and this was misused by others and created a problem for him.when he is approached for help he help them at whatever situation he is. he is close to his friends and his younger sister. he love thulasi very much and he gave a proposal to thulasi but she disagreed and abused him in front of his office along with her father. this made him to drop his love. but when Anand his friend approached him saying that he love thulasi and wants to marry her, he helped him by kidnapping her from her marriage.but after knowing that she is not really loving Anand then he helped her to go to the mandap at correct time. due to the change in the character of thulasi's father the marriage doesnt take place. this makes vel furious and tried to rape thulasi. to save herself she hit vel and he became unconcious this blame was taken by himself and asked thulasi not to let any words to others. after that he made her to join in an engineering college. these thinks made thulasi to fall for TA. not knowing the fact that it was too late as he was engaged to charu, the girl chosen by his mother. now he is in the state of "Standing in the shoe of Nails" dont know how to open to his mother and charu that he is in love with thulasi.
TA's mother: she is an emotional blackmailer for TA. she wants her son to marry a rich girl so that she can break her elder daughter in law's nose. there is a chance that she will change to negative character.
Puvizarasu (Puvi): elder brother of TA. he is like everyother married person caught between his mother and his wife. when these two hav a quarrel he supports his mother and pacify his wife in the absents of his mother. he is having one daughter.
Lavanya: TA's younger sister. a loving daughter and sister. more than a sister she is his friend. she supports her brother and wanted him to marry thulasi. she was the one who insisted him to love thulasi.
Puvi's wife: she is somewhat head weight kind of person. she wanted to live in a nuclear family. she tried to break charu and TA's marriage thinking that her name and respect will go as charu is richer than her. whatever she say are not accepted by his family even though it was right at one point.
Charu: fiance of TA. she is deeply in love with him not knowing the fact that he is in love with thulasi. soft spoken, emotinal kind of girl. love to live in a joint family. though she was an adapted child for her parent she was grown with full love and care. she belive in love and has high hopes on TA that he will give his love to her. Charu has a cousine brother who is in love with lavanya.
Anand: friend of TA. he is a constable in a police station. he misunderstood thulasi loves him... because of TA she is not accepting him. so he is going to play as a fox in the name of a friend to TA.
Vellaitham: by this u may know Vel's character he is totally a cruel character. Thilaga vel's beloved sister. she is also a cruel character.
Kalyani: friend of thulasi. she is an auto driver. good person.
Josheph and few more are TA's friends (belives TA) apart from Anand.
