Hey dear,
Forum wide contests/Celebration threads (mainly by crazy creatives/Approved by higher DT),announcements/Rules ,Main Birthday threads(actors and DTs) are made into Global Announcements . Only Global Moderators and admins can make a thread a Global announcement . You can PM a GM to get the thread GAed or even ask a DT member to pass the thread for GAing.

You can write on your signature about your previous username. That's what people do here.

QH forum has a channel mod and a cool viewbie but no mod

Its not compulsory that every forum should have a moderator. On the basis of requirement of forum higher heads allocate  development team . If needed they will recruit a moderator.
