Anmol walks away, without answering Vasu. Ragini and Guni are upset. Sharma notices Anmol doing some carpentry work at Sadhana Nari Niketan. He is stunned when he sees how upset Anmol is. Anmol is sad that he will never be able to take Ranvir's place in Rajvansh House. Anmol remembers the day Ranvir met him. Ranvir was adamant to buy some of his land, but he refused to sell it. Anmol challenged Ranvir to somehow convince him. Ragini remembers how Ranvir told her about meeting Anmol. Alekh, Tamanna and Khushi await Anmol's return. Kaushalya is worried as Sharma has not returned home.

Anmol remembers how Ranvir was sad to learn that he had lost his family. He tells Sharma about his friendship with Ranvir. Anmol gifted the papers of his property to Ranvir. He wished to have a family like Ranvir's. He was shocked to see rocks falling on Ranvir in an avalanche, when they were out on a walk. Ragini was upset on seeing Ranvir in a critical condition. Ragini and Anmol met for the first time. Ragini was stunned when Ranvir requested her to promise that she would marry Anmol after his demise. Ranvir requested Ragini to hand over his letter to his parents, so that they know about his request to her to marry Anmol. Anmol Shocked and Ragini was shattered to see Ranvir passing away after uniting them.

Ragini decides to trust Ranvir's decision of getting her married to Anmol. Sharma sees Anmol accusing himself for the situation. He appreciates Anmol for keeping up his promise to Ranvir. Anmol discloses to Sharma that he also made another promise to Ranvir. He tells him about how Ranvir himself got injured in order to save him from the avalanche. Anmol recalls taking Ranvir to the hospital in a critical condition. Ranvir requested Anmol to take his position in the Rajvansh family. Anmol promises Ranvir. He also promises not to leave Rajvansh under any circumstances. Ranvir had insisted that Anmol not reveal this incident to any of his family members. Sharma is shocked.

Anmol wishes to tell the Rajvansh family about his two promises to Ranvir, but Sharma stops him. On Anmol's return, Ragini admonishes him for leaving home suddenly. Anmol convinces Ragini when she blames herself for the situation at home. He promises himself to always protect Tamanna, Khushi and Alekh. Guni apologises to Ragini. Tamanna, Khushi and Alekh notice that Anmol is angry with Ragini. They lock Anmol and Ragini in a room and ask them to become friends once more. Anmol and Ragini patch up for the kids's sake. Alekh makes Anmol promise that he will never hurt Ragini or leave the house again.

Alekh, Tamanna and Khushi let Anmol and Ragini out when they are convinced about their patching up. Malti is angry with Kavya for using foul language. Anmol apologises to Vasu, but she suspects him of lying and trying to impress the family for ulterior motives. Sharma meets Vasu and Anmol at Sadhana Nari Niketan. Vasu gets angry when a social worker refers to Anmol as her son. Everyone is happy with the gifts that Ragini has bought for them. Anmol decides to get a nice gift for Ragini. Vasu is angry with Indrajeet for hiding Ranvir's photograph in a drawer. Indrajeet advises her to fulfill the request made by Ranvir in his last letter - to hide all photographs of his.

Vasu wishes to put up Ranvir's photograph in her room, against Indrajeet's wishes. Ragini convinces Vasu to accept Ranvir's last wish for the sake of Tamanna, who has always been told that Anmol is her father. Anmol distracts Tamanna when she questions Ragini about Ranvir's photograph. Anmol threatens to break his contract with Vasu if she reveals anything to the kids. Malti insists on shifting house, as Kavya is learning foul words. Khushi and Tamanna are hungry at school because Kavya eats up their lunch. Tamanna lambastes a couple of girls who make fun of Khushi. Ragini and Vasu get sad, thinking of Ranvir. Tamanna is upset because her teacher did not give her the lead role in the school competiton.

Khushi and Tamanna insist that Ragini talk to their teacher about Tamanna's role in the school play. Kaushalya is upset when Malti hints at Tamanna's dusky complexion. Ragini meets the teacher, who insists on giving the fairy role to Khushi, whose confidence needs a boost. Ragini agrees with the teacher's decision. Kaushalya is upset with this decision of Ragini's. Tamanna enjoys dressing up Khushi in the fairy's costume. Ragini is happy to see this, thinking Tamanna is happy for Khushi's sake. Tamanna excitedly talks to Anmol about her role as fairy. Tamanna gets ready to play the fairy role at the rehearsals. Ragini is stunned to know from Anmol that Tamanna was unaware of Khushi being given the role of the fairy.

Tamanna is disappointed when the teacher declares that Khushi would play the role of the fairy. Tamanna is upset when the school kids ridicule her. Khushi pacifies her. Vineet is angry with Malti's pestering to move to a better locality. Guni informs Anmol about her wish to participate in an All-India dance competition. He advises her to take help of Ragini, and to inform Vasu. Ragini is upset when Khushi tells her that she does not want to be a fairy. Tamanna is very angry with Ragini. Anmol convinces the upset Ragini. Khushi borrows Alekh's scissors to cut up the fairy costume that Ragini had bought.

Alekh helps Khushi cut up the fairy dress. Kaushalya invites Ragini and her family for the Kanjak pooja at their place. Anmol takes Alekh to the office, a secret that he shares only with Guni. Khushi and Tamanna enjoy themselves at the pooja. Malti gives them their gifts - dresses. Tamanna feels offended when Kavya points out the lighter shade dress is for her, as she is dark in complexion. Anmol gets Alekh to sign on some papers. Kaushalya offers to apply a homemade paste on Tamanna's face to make her fair. Tamanna is excited, thinking that she will soon be as fair as Khushi. Ragini stops Kaushalya from doing so, and explains to Tamanna not to have a complex because of her dark skin.

Tamanna is happy when Kavya brings her some bleach from Malti's room, to make her skin fairer. Ragini nurses Tamanna when her skin starts burning. Kavya apologises to Tamanna. Ragini is hurt when Tamanna wishes for her mother to have been fairer, so that she would have had a fairer complexion. Ragini convinces her that a person's complexion is not important. Anmol pacifies the worried Ragini. Malti is angry when Sharma lambastes Kavya for giving the bleach to Tamanna. Sharma requests Kaushalya not to let matters like complexion enter the minds of children. Anmol pacifies Tamanna when she questions him about why she did not inherit his fair complexion. Khushi is upset as to why her father, Alekh, does not answer her questions or go to office like Anmol. Guni tries to convince her. Anmol gets Ragini's signature on some power of attorney documents.
