BV ; Written Update 1st Oct '10

I missed a bit so please feel free to correct any errors.

 

 (Today's Update)

 

Gehna crying while Anandi is comforting her and Sumitra is waiting for someone to return when Jagya, Basant and Nandu return. Sumitra wants to know who could have taken Nandu when Jagya says it was Mahaveer Singh. Sumitra looks over his shoulder and looks shocked which makes all the others turn around to see Maasa and Bhairon escorting Mahaveer into the house.

Maasa invites MV to sit down and signals to Sumitra and Gehna to touch MV's feet which after some hesitation they do. Maasa also looks at Basant to follow but he refuses to follow her advice. (Basant walks away)

MV does not recognize J and Anandi till Maasa introduces them. He is amazed at the how much they have grown in 5 years. Anandi touches his feet and a very hesitant and reluctant Jagya finally follows.

When Sumitra is about to give MV water Maasa asks Nandu to give his Dadusa water with his own hands which MV drinks and overcome with tears he hugs Nandu. Maasa also wipes tears from her eyes. After taking Maasa's permission he gives Nandu a gold necklace.

MV tells Maasa that she has put him in her debt by showing him this kindness and he will never forget it. Maasa wants to know how he got out in 5 years when his sentence was for 7 years. MV replies that with good behavior his term was reduced and all he kept seeing was his grandson's face which is why he came here. It was his good fortune to see the boys playing and when Nandu told him who he was, he picked him up and hugged him so tightly that Nandu started shouting which was noticed by a policeman and that was why he was arrested.

Maasa tells MV to freshen up while Maakhan is given instructions to go to Nagor and clean up MV's house. MV reluctant to stay but Bhairon and Gehna both ask him to stay.

MV goes upstairs where he spots Basant who turns and looks at him (actually I think he was glaring at him)

Maasa scolds Jagya about his behavior with an older person after the upbringing he has had but Jagya is angry about all that MV has done including the treatment to Anandi's family and feels MV does not deserve any respect. Basant has come down and agrees with Jagya about bringing MV to their home and wants to know why???

Maasa said that MV had regret in his eyes and she felt that he had paid for his sins, besides how much more should he suffer. Besides he was Basant's father. (At which point Basant and Jagya both storm out) Bhairon consoles Maasa and says it will take some time for Bhaisa to accept MV

Shyam has brought a walker for Varun as a surprise and tells Varun that he must be tired of lying down all day so why doesn't he try walking with the walker. Sugna is not convinced and feels they should check with the doctor but Shyam says as Varun's father he knows what is best for him. Shyam and Sugna help Varun to walk and he takes his first step when Thausa (he is always around at the wrong time) walks in. Varun freezes and then refuses to walk any further. Shyam is confused at this sudden change and Thausa tells them they are doing the wrong thing and can't they see Varun is in pain. Thausa is a worried man!!!!!.

MV is invited to sit down at the aarti and once again mentions how obligated he is to her for all the kindness shown. He felt that serving his sentence was easy compared to being away from his loved ones and how ironical it was that only when you leave your loved ones do you realize what they mean to you. (I am not sure if Basant would agree!!) He asks Maasa for permission to leave as he had seen his grandson. Maasa tells MV that he was welcome to come and see his grandson whenever he wished to. (MV overcome with tears.......too much crying)

Maasa thinks back about MV in jail and wishes his dead wife was here to see this changed man (I have left out the scenes as they were already written about)

Maasa wants to tell Bhairon and Basant something important when MV comes down. He says for the first time in a long time he slept deeply and thanked everyone for the love and respect shown to him which gave him a feeling of peace. He hugs Nandu asking him not to forget him (Jagya -irritated and Basant head bowed).

Now the Bombshell - Maasa tells everyone that Nandu's Dadusa will stay in their house!!!! Everyone is stunned and Basant furious. Maasa says she has taken this decision after serious thought but Basant is not convinced and when Jagya tries to agree he is quickly told to keep out of it . Maasa is firm about her decision brooking no argument from Basant (although MV agrees with J and B that he has lost the right to expect any respect due to his past sins) She also made a promise to Basant's mother that she would look after MV in his old age and would not be able to face her in her afterlife if she did not keep her promise. Hearing this Basant agrees to do whatever Maasa says and that for him she is his only mother.

PRECAP - Thausa wants to know if MV is admitting to defeat at Maasa's hands. MV tells Thausa that even if a lion learns to eat grass it would be a mistake to doubt his strength. (Now I wonder if MV has changed at all??)

Oh dear I think 3 of us have done an update.

Thanks for the update. Regarding the precap- I think MV has given some sort of hidden warning to RS. that no doubt he is a good man but in case RS does any harm then he would not spare him.
