Bhairon trying to convince Maasa about Jagya's decision saying that although you are not happy you need to accept he is grown up and has to lead his own life or else he will drift apart from us.
Maasa replies that Mumbai is too far away, it would have been alright if it was Jaipur or Jodhpur. How would he manage on his own? Bhairon reminds her that Jagya is not a child anymore and this fear stops them from allowing him to fulfill his dream then he would be very unhappy.
Maasa (very emotional) was worried that in the event of something happening to her, Jagya would not be able to come back in time for her to see his face. Bhairon reassures Maasa and finally she gives in but very reluctantly. (Sumitra enters). Bhairon tells Sumitra that Maasa has agreed to let Jagya go to Mumbai and asks her to tell Anandi and Jagya to give the happy news to Anandi's parents.
Anandi, Phooli and Jagya arrive at Anandi's house and are greeted with joy by her father and mother. Anandi's mother asks her if everything is alright at home wondering at this sudden visit. Anandi replies that everything is fine. Khajjan is delighted to give Bhago the good news about Jagya although Bhago says she did not even know that Jagya wanted to be a doctor. Khajjan wants to know where he will be going and for how long. On hearing that it will be 5 years in Mumbai, Bhago on her way to the kitchen stops in her tracks and looks very concerned. Anandi sensing her mother's distress follows her to the kitchen and wants to know what is worrying her. Her mother (seemingly annoyed) replies that Anandi just cannot see or understand that after 5 years of separation they are going to be apart again. Anandi comforts her mother by justifying Jagya's decision to be a doctor and her own pride at what Jagya wanted to do.
BREAK
Anandi wants to call her little friend Gulli over when she is told that Gulli has moved to the next village to be with her relatives as there was no one to look after her here. Anandi felt her mother should have told her but her mother replied that she had just gone to her in-laws. Khajjan requests Phooli to take A and J to the temple and they leave. Bhago still not convinced mentions to Khajjan that she did not know whether to be happy or sad with this news. Khajjan however was very happy and proud of Jagya's decision. Phooli, J and A pray at the temple with Phooli looking very tearful and sad.
BREAK
J, A and Phooli stroll back from the temple chatting about how long it has been since they last came to this place when Phooli's friends arrive. They start taunting Phooli that now that your Jijosa is back she has no time for them. Phooli proudly responds that J is going to be a doctor and not loafers like them. The boys keep taunting Phooli and want to know now that J is going to be a doctor has he forgotten how to play cricket. Phooli reminds them that the last time they played J thrashed them. The boys remind her that was when they were young and to let J prove it to them now. Unable to contain herself Phooli accepts the challenge on behalf of Jagya. J starts clenching his fist and says they need to go back when Anandi tells him to play.
PRECAP- Anandi and Phooli clapping and Phooli runs off when Anandi finds a pouch of love letters addressed to Phooli from someone who wants to run away with her.
