Okay I had created this topic before, but at that time no one replied (maybe they hadn't read) so I'm wanna ask again. :)

Anyone read Slaughter house five by Kurt Vonnegut?
I just loved that book.
I actually spent days thinking about it and still read love reading it and discussing it's themes, motifs and symbols. It's a wartime novel but  I feel it's different from other war novels in way that it doesn't try to over-complicate or intellectualize the situation or come across as boring/preachy.
Just says it like it is. I loved the aliens called Tralfamadorians...and their beliefs...about the human illusion of free will and their ideas of time,space and many dimensions.
Also, I thought it was quite interesting that Billy had this serenity prayer in his office...

Grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

And yet...he found it so difficult to stick to it....another interesting character was the unsuccessful author of science fiction novels..and how Billy related to his books completely.

if you guys havn't read it then you should, it's fun:)

I hope someone's read it, I felt like discussing it today.
