*~~Written Update - 16th November 2010~~*
RECAP on Gulaal:
Previously, we saw Vasant finding the guy who can detect water in the desert,
and convinces him to come back to his village,
Talsagra with him to stop the drought this year.
He tells Vasant, that in his dreams he's seen a girl called Neerja
and where-ever she sets foot, there is water found beneath it.
When Vasant reaches Talsagra and announces his arrival to his father, Mothabha.
Unfortunately, when they all reach to greet him, he is no longer alive.
Episode 2
PART 1:
Everyone in the village has assembled for the cremation of Ramkhilavan.. All are disappointed.
Vasant feels helpless as well.
The villagers threaten Mothabha that they have no other choice but to leave the village now as there is no hope for the village since Ramkhilavan is dead.
Vasant is upset and is remembering what Ramkhilavan had told him regarding Neerja.
He decides to find her so that Talsagra can have happiness again.
He then asks Mothabha to give him just one chance to find Neerja.
Everybody finds it foolish of him to trust someone's dreams only when nobody has ever seen this Neerja.
Vasant's younger brother, Kesar gets upset when he finds out that his friends are leaving as there is no water.
He goes into to Mothabha's room and blames him for not being able to help anyone inspite of being the village's mukhiya.
Mothabha gets angry and calls his wife to take the kid away.
Just then, Dai baa comes in and tries to console MothaBha and says even though all the villagers are leaving.. His Mother is still there with him..
Vasant goes to a telephone booth and makes a few calls trying to locate in all the nearby villages for the girl named, Neerja but has no luck.
But then one of his friends tells him that he remembers that in a village 15 years ago there was a girl whose namekeeping ceremony was done 5 years after her birth instead of the usual after 5 days.
But she is from the rival village of Talsagra.
PART 2:
There's a panchayat going on in the village.
Vasant goes in and tells Mothabha everyone that he's found Neerja
But she's from Rashipur...
As soon as he says that everyone gets enraged at him.
Mothabha even slaps him and says you will never go there.
Vasant refuses to understand and somehow manages to
convince his mum to let him go to Rashipur to find Neerja
PART 3:
Vasant leaves Talsagra to find Neerja.
His mother sees him off.
He departs on his journey to Rashipur.
Precap:
Vasant is playing the drums and a girl is dancing.
He asks for her name. She replies, "Gulaal".
