TA started off as being jovial, friendly, talkative, kind, family-loving, helping, take-at-face value person. His basic and most important trait is the tendency to help others taking their face value -- which has won our praises and also landed him in a lot of problems he is still deep in!!
He gives importance to his family and friendship. (although most times, I have noticed his friends helping/bailing him out from troubles!) His love to family is what makes him blindly believe his sis, and mom. Even for Lav's marriage, he took more initiative than his brother which proves this point.
His helping tendency is what finally culminated in his marriage with T.
Also, he is unable to judge someone unless the involved person is someone outwardly bad/cruel like vel, padma!!
He does love T deep down and would never make any compromises on that; although he is unable to communicate / better express his feelings at times! This is contrary to his being a chatterbox! His inability to communicate at the right time has also landed him in soup as with Charu's marriage issue! If only he had mentioned this to C, many issues cud have been averted! Also, he is short-tempered and impulsive at times! Even with T, he has hidden a lot of things!
The important flaw in him is helping a person w/o analysing someone's character -- finding if the person is worth of his help! He has lost his job and also had C at his home causing all troubles on account of this!!
Well, recently we have noticed so much change in his character!! May be tough situations are just bringing out the worst in him!! He has lost his ability to analyse, think and wants T to listen to him and forgotten that she shud be treated as his better-half! Money is not everything but he is still not able to understand that he needs that minimum amt to run his household and loses his calm being unable to handle tough situations!!
His love for family, esp Lav/Mom is what is causing all the problems he is in now! His love for his sis is what made him forgive VR and unite Lav and Nit! (Not comparing here, but Nit does seem to understand and analyse his wife better than TA!) Ta with all the knowledge abt T shud be able to trust and understand her better than anyone else! His lack of the ability to analyse, observe and understand his wife / any other person is landing him in multiple problems. He is unable to understand why Charu frequents his home inspite of her marriage with him breaking down! Would any normal sensible woman behave that way? Did he think that the doctor is mad to talk abt Charu? He doesn't think that T will never ever take the risk of accusing GW/Lav of having the money? The kind of trust he had on his wife when the whole world was against her and he did not even meet/see/talk to her after the accident should have been nurtured by him to become stronger. Rather, his character seems to have been going down in value after that! He did not trust his mother then when she spit poison on T after his accident. Also he is biased abt judging some people -- he doesn't like Sudha even if she talks right!! he trusts Charu/lav / gw no matter what!
Overall, I believe that he had some of these flaws earlier, but these were latent when the circumstances were fine. Now these have just taken shape in huge proportions. The same tough situations that have weakened TA's character have strengthened and moulded T's character beautifully.
I just hope that he will soon be awakened by Nit/periappa abt GW/C and until then we may have to wait for the old TA!
