Sony dislodges Zee TV to grab the third spot in Week 23
The channel has scored 183 GRPs for the week ended June 4, 2011 (TAM, C&S4, HSM), up from the 170 points that it had scored in the previous week. Its relative market share has also increased from 14.3 per cent in Week 22, to 14.5 per cent in Week 23.
Riding on the back of its latest launches -- X Factor India and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Sony Entertainment Television has dislodged Zee TV from the third spot in the Hindi GEC bracket.
The channel has scored 183 GRPs for the week ended June 4, 2011 (TAM, C&S4, HSM), up from the 170 points that it had scored in the previous week. Its relative market share has also increased from 14.3 per cent in Week 22, to 14.5 per cent in Week 23.
Zee TV, meanwhile, has slipped to the fourth position, despite an addition to its GRP grade. The channel has added two points to its kitty, to end the week at 183 GRPs. But, its relative market share has toppled to 14.5 per cent, from the 15.2 per cent that it had registered in the previous week.
The leader of the flock Star Plu has witnessed a 6 GRP increase during the week over the previous week, to stand at 290 points. Its relative market share has however fallen to 23 per cent, from 23.8 per cent.
Second-in-command Colors, too, has added points to its kitty. The channel, with 247 GRPs, has gained 16 points over Week 22, primarily due to its new launches -- Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi 4, and the fiction show Hamari Saas Leela. Interestingly, the show ran break less on Monday, while it ran with a single break from Tuesday to Friday.
SAB, at the fifth position, has scored 149 GRPs in Week 23. Its relative channel share is 11.8 per cent for the week, up from 10.9 per cent during the same period.
At No. 6, Imagine TV gained 16 GRPs during the week, to score 85 GRPs. Its relative share has also moved up from 5.8 per cent, to 6.7 per cent. STAR One, with 37 GRPs, and a channel share of 2.9 per cent, follows it.
STAR Utsav is at No. 8. The channel's relative share is constant at 2.5 per cent, while its GRPs have dipped marginally to 32 (30 GRPs in the previous week).
Sahara One and DD1 have garnered relative shares of 2.2 per cent and 2.1 per cent, respectively.
Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 4.51, followed by Saathiya Saath Nibhana (Star Plus) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus), with TVRs of 4.41 and 4.3, respectively.
The fourth most-watched programme is Balika Vadhu, with 4.08 TVR. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (SAB TV) and Uttaran (Colors) follow next.
Pratigya, Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Navya and Sasural Genda Phool are also a part of the Top 10 list.
