Defense lawyer asks Asha very personal questions on where Swamiji touched her etc. Anandi stops him and requests the judge to not let the lawyer humiliate Asha and consider her as a respectable woman. Judge warns lawyer. Lawyer then says there is no proof of the attempted rape as there is no witness to support Asha's accusation. Asha most likely wanted to be intimate with Swamiji, but since he refused, she filed a case in anger.
Prosecution lawyer submits DNA report indicating that the blood under Asha's fingernails was Swamiji's. Defense again argues that its because Swamiji tried to fight Asha. He presents a strong case and Anandi looks worried. Court adjourned until after lunch
In Mumbai, In the break-room, Jagat meets Gauri, who says she is very tired. Jagat lectures her to take rest. Shivani comes there and Gauri introduces Jagat. Shivani tells Gauri that the rural camp project has been approved. After Shivani leaves, Jagat tells Gauri not to go since she is unwell, but Gauri insists that she wants to go. After Gauri leaves, some doctor comes and congratulates Jagat for going to medical camp, but Jagat says Gauri is going alone. The doctor is puzzled and leaves. Jagat in thought.
In Jetsar court, people are awaiting Judges return and cursing Anandi and co. The witness man (WM) who had seen the attack happen is listening to everything and is upset. Judge returns and is abt to pronounce Swamiji innocent when WM stops him and says that Swamiji is not good. He has ruined many girls' lives before. He is a rapist and a murderer. Judge asks him to step into witness box. Flashback of WM remembering his widowed sister. In the box, WM aka Gopi says he had a widowed young sister and she was widowed at a young age like Asha. She was pious and devoted to the Swamiji's ashram, but Swamiji raped her and his sister committed suicide. Gopi says he tried to get justice for his sister, including filing police complaint, but nothing was done.
Gopi continues that Swamiji sent his men to beat him up. He was barely alive when they left him. After 6 months' treatment, he vowed to avenge his sister's death. He pretended to have reformed and joined Swamiji's ashram.
