Nadhaswaram director by Metti oli fame Thirumurugan, a
beautiful story taken place in a Kaaraikudi
with few families involved. Nadhaswaram is the main source for the
family of Sokkalingam and Mayilvaahanan.
Both Sokkalingam and
Mayilvaahan are brother's and had been closed since small. Sokkalingam with
Meenashi has 5 kids, elder son who ran away when he was small, second son Gopi,
third daughter married to a guy who is jobless, fourth Ragini and fifth Geetha
still studying. Gopi is a tailor and has
a small shop near his home and that is his income. He has assistant who is
known as Gaja and who is so fond of Gopi. Gopi had always been the
sollutattadhu pillai😳. He had never did anything wrong and his sister's love and
adore him. Mayilavanan with Devanai has
2 daughters Elder Kamu who is married to her love Murthi and Second Pandi who
is married to Maha, Third Paramu who is going to get married to Murthi's brother.
Both brother has a loving sister Puspa who is married to a post master Periasudar who had never liked Sokkalingam or Mayilvaanan much. Their elder daughter Maha loves Gopi since small and is very adamant wanting to marry him. This left Periasudar with no choice as he loves his daughter a lot therefore agreed for the proposal. The whole family likes the idea of Gopi marrying Maha. Sambantham (Sam) brother of Puspa has a weird walk and he had couple of times tried to propose Gopi's sister's who all takes him as a joker only .😆
Gopi meets Malar first time due to some electric problem at Gopi shop and Malar is the EB officer. After few misunderstanding which then leads to a good friendship. But soon that friendship lead to a romance❤️. Much to Maha's despair, and she makes lot of scene at home only to ensure she gets married to Gopi. But much to Maha's happiness, Malar family got her married to Gokul who is a cheap guy😡 and Malar left him on the first day of the wedding due to Gokul torture about her relationship with Gopi. After so much of fights and arguments Malar decided to divorce Gokul much to her family members despair. But her father stood beside her decision and trusted it.
Pandi turns wild when the
family decides to get Gopi Maha married. He beats up Gopi using some friends
and one day tried to kill Gopi by trying to hit him with something. But Maha
come by and gets the hit on her head to save Gopi. Maha lost her memory and
Gopi ends up taking care of her. One day
Pandi kidnaps Maha and takes her away from Karaikudhi. He gets married to her
and changes his entire lifestyle for Maha who does not know what is happening.
At Karaikudi Puspa makes a big scene and drama and havoc and creates lot of
problem for her brother's family. Maha missing had caused some problems with
Kamu Murthi marriage too.
Finally Gopi found both Pandi and Maha and brought them back home. Puspa and Periasudar are so angry and curses Gopi family for all the things that happen and blames Gopi for destroying their daughter Maha's life. 😭
At the same time Gopi is
proposed by Nellisudar Kamu's father in law for his daughter Vanitha. Gopi with
no choice left due to his family pressure agrees to marry Vanitha when he still
have love for Malar. Malar gets heart broken and applies job out of Karaikudi
as she cannot live without Gopi and it's a big torture to see him getting
married to someone else.
During the engagement day,
Gopi has a katcheri for nadaswaram at Pollachi. That is the same place where
Malar and her sister Rohini is for their friends wedding. Both Gopi Malar meets
and emotion gets fired up, and Malar finally breaks down and cries to Gopi
saying she cannot live without him and wants to be with him. Gopi is happy to
hear this and out of impulse decides his going to marry Malar. Rohini is very
happy and gets the preparation done. Both Gopi Malar gets married at the same
time back at Karaikudhi where engagement for Gopi Vanitha is taking place.
Gopi neighbor saw this wedding
and immediately calls both Malar and Gopi family to inform them. The wedding
cost so much of havoc and Malar brother in fact went to Sokkalingam and fought
with him. Got some adiyals and beats up the poor man who lands at hospital
serious.
Gopi and Malar returns back to
Karaikudi happy thinking both their father's will accept them but much to their
shock, both families are angry and kicks them out. Gopi and Malar has no where
to go and Gaja offers his home for them.
Sokky is doing good now and would be discharged soon. But he is going to have to decide whether to accept Gopi or not. Accepting Gopi means going against his loving thambi Mayil who refuses to accept Gopi for any reason. Son or Brother?
