After Narayani Shastri decided she could not devote time to Zee's Piya Ka Ghar in a double role, the producers decided to rope in a new actress. Playing the role of Rimjhim's (Narayani Shastri) daughter will be Gargi Sharma. The actress previously appeared in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki as Gurbani Gill. Gargi Sharma was one of the finalists of the Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj and has also done some theatre in the past.
